My girlfriend is pissed off also....she got back $105 from the Feds and owes $110 to the state! She just didn't have enough taken out of her paycheck...so she was going give it to the Gov sooner or later. Either way they will get it!

It's a good thing not to get back a huge refund. (the large amount in taxes is bad of course) It's best to get the most money in each paycheck as you can. As I've said, when you get a big refund, it just means that you gave the government a nice little interest free loan.

I only got three hundred bucks. Eh, it's money in the pocket.

Wow another person who is actually understands basic econ. He is 100% correct. It always blows my mind when people are always so happy to get their refund check. I guess its ok if you are someone who cant save money but anyway.

That sucks Danny....... But at least you don't owe a whole lot of money.

csledd 02-03-2006 02:42 PM

yeah.. for each pay check did you do 0 or 1? I did 1 so that means I get back more each paycheck.. but there is a chance that I'll have to pay money back come tax refund time.. wasn't the case this year, I will get at least 400

Danny 'ol boy, you are missing the point! It really is not a good thing to get money back, you want to break as close to even by the end of the year as possible and $32 is as about as close as you can get. Besides, if you are a waiter, how much of your earnings goes unreported? Hell, walk in my shoes and pay nearly 30% of what you make just to the Feds and see how that feels.
