radar detectors are amazing

i would have to say that the invention of the radar detector was one of the greatest ever. Today i was going 70 in a 30 my radar goes off i slammed on the brakes and passed the cop going 30, it definitly saved my license, double the limit = no license. It was most definitly worth the 90 bucks i spent on a decent quality cobra on ebay. can anyone else relate??

boy I'd get myself a rear bumper and finish this kit if $400 was nothing... plus as everyone already knows, I have a CB Radio system in my car.. so I know where the cops are 10 miles before I get there..

you can try to convince your self your $90 POS works....and sometimes it dos, when the cops laser detectors break and they have to switch to radar

Arrows or nothing i have used others, and its true once you live with the arrows you wont be able to live without them again. It was well worth the $390 i paid for it. it saves almost 3hours of driving on my trip to NC and back.
And over and hour on my way to the Florida Keys when i go home to see freinds.

I had a passport for about 30 hours. I drove by a copper close enough to see his facial expression, and he was pointing his radar at me. My 350 dollar passport said nothing. So I went to best buy, returned the radar and got my SLP catback.

are you serious??? cops dont use cd radios to talk to each other outside of little redneck towns.

Well you have to have common sense and know when to speed and when you should slow down.

exampe: dont speed if your the only car on the road. As he is gonna have his radar off, and then turn it on aiming at you.

Also dont make yourself stickout by doing 110 in a 70 or something like that the name of the game is speed but dont be noticed and use common sense. I only speed when i have cars in front of me which the cop will randomly hit with the radar so i see him. If its just me i only do 5 over.

lol it's not for the cops...it's so he can talk to truckers ahead and they tell you if there are any troopers hidding...
