Are you in a Mustang club??

When i first got my stang i thought joining a Mustang club would be fun. One day when i was out cruising i was approached by the president of a Detroit based club. The stangs were all lined up in order and it looked pretty cool. They asked me to pull over so they could check my car out, so i obliged and we all stopped at the next gas station. I was suprised how some of the members and the president were acting. While i was talking to the president because on his car and him being first in line made it pretty much known that he was, one of the members trotted out of his car up to where we were talking and just stood there(like he was in the army and was awaiting permission to speak). At that time he(the pres.)turned to the guy and said "you guys were out of formation back there, dont let it happen again". Then he walked away from me and started to inspect the other stangs in the group. It was like a scene from Major Payne how he looked at each member and had something to say to each one about their car. Some replies were negative and some positive. Meanwhile, i am just standing by my car in utter amazement and trying to keep my composure from laughing because some of the stuff he was saying was kind of funny. To sum it up, the president came back and asked me several times to join their club after telling him i would give it some thought, he shook my hand and they all left. It was also funny that no one else could start up their car until the pres. did.

After this incident i was pretty much turned off by joining a club and just hung out with what i calll "stray ponies". Basically, other guys with nice mustangs that are not in a club. Now i know other clubs arent like this, so tell me about yours so i want stereotype.

i've never heard of a club like that. im not in a mustang club but i've been in other car clubs before and i hang out with the guys in the palm beach mustang club all the time. they pretty much just hang out once a month at a local restaurant. they organize huge cruises and shows and benefits and stuff like that but all of the guys in the club are just regular guys out to have fun. none of that military stuff, i'd be out of there so fast, i had enough of that in the army.

haha yeah that sux... The Mustang Club here in Tallahassee is so so...it's more like a couple of regulars and then some new people every now and then usually rarely tops 20 people...IF it even gets that big...

It's supposed to be part of this MustangF/X business that one of the guyz runs...he's a nice guy, very friendly, but I don't think he's quite understood the aftermarket concept... they sell this shelby tribute kit that frankly no one in the club really likes... But it's always nice to meet with other people...there are a few guyz that have done ALOT of work to their car...it's all GT's and one cop comes in with this Green Cobra...

there was some new guy with a 500 hp cobra he says he works for mercedez as a mechanic so he works on his car all the time...Other then that like i said it's a few kids and older guyz that like to meet up with their wives....theres one couple with a Mach 1 (the guyz) and a GT Vert (the wifes) thats pretty cool, i'm sure they got alot to talk about when they go into the garage
