Just curious if everyone has heard about Kobe scoring 81 points against the raptors last night. I personally think its awesome, but that defense had to just let him by. :sleeping:

im not even a kobe fan, lerbons my boy cavs all the way, but 81 points is ridiculous, he was unstoppable, u cant call him a ballhog for that wilt scored 100 but that was when the average team in the nba averaged 111ppg nowadays teams average mid 90's, kobe was the man last nite

Normally I would be all over the Kobe is a ball hog BS, but in this case he did what he had to do to win the game. They where down 16 at half and he went crazy in the second half and brought them back to to a blow out win.

my thought exactly..its a good achievement i guess.. but im sure his teamates also feel belittled as that night it did kinda look as if Kobe WAS the entire team. I guarantee ya if Iverson hogged the ball more than he does already he could score 81 pts in a game.

no matter how many times you shoot, there is only one way to score 81 pts.. MAKE the shots that ur taking..so i will give him that, Kobe made a lot of shots..but he still an arrogant bastard. and a rapist..lol or at the very least, an adulterer.. :bash:

 

SO he is pretty much like every other NBA player, the NBA sucks. Its full of dill hole thugs who think they are gods gift to basketball. None of the current NBA starts with the exception of Steve Nash, Tim Duncan, Shaq, and maybe Lebron are nothing compared to Jordan, Bird, Magic, Wilt, Kareem, Oscar Robertson, etc.

The league has become more about individuals and flashy moves, not winning and playing the game. That is why Detorit and San Antionio are the best teams but no one likes them. They are boring to watch but they play the game the best.

 

iverson will not and cannot score 81 points in a game, he hogs the ball just as much as kobe does in a regular game(kobe 2 more shots) iverson can get 60 but he cannot touch 80 and this time i think only tracy mcgrady could come close 2 that maybe lebron if he played selfish all game which he will never do.......iverson doesnt have the body or the shot 2 get 80+ in a game

and the players in the league could contend with the greats just no1 wants 2 give them credit because they consider them thugs, the players in the league are more athletic than every, i wanna see larry bird cover lebron 1 on 1, wilt on ben wallace or duncan and so on but i do agree the old players played a better team game

 

Chamberlin scored 100 points in a game..thats the record, and that was before a 3 pointer counted as 3. So he scored a lot...Chamberlin was the man, he just didnt play as long as MJ

 

chamberlain was 7 feet tall he couldnt hit a 3 pointer if it did exist and chamberlain took almost 20 more shots than kobe did in his 100 point game.....give kobe some credit i dont even like him but 81 on 40 sumpn shots is ridiculous, not 1 of us could score in an nba game

 

I LOVE THE SPURS! mainly Tim Duncan because he IS a great player..but hes not all mouth and cocky like a lotta players. i agree the NBA has gone to shyt, hence the reason i dont follow nor could i care any less about pro basketball. bottom line, in my eyes... Yay kobe scored 81. good for him, hes still a douchebag.

 

Pistons proved they can stop Kobe. That is an amazing feat though. Can't deny that.

 

Of course we would say that...Jordon was such a threat because he could pass anytime, or take it to the hole...lets not forget Pippen, and Rodman...and now that Shaq is peaced out...Kobe hasn't done anything but score 81 points against the raptors....the doormate of the league...great numbers, but he's by far and away not the best player in the league...
