minor accident
 

well yesterday i was at school in line, and i wasnt moving at all and in my car, and this kid i kno, bumped and SCRAPPED the sh*t outta my rear bumper, i didnt kno he hit me for sure til i got home and saw it, cause i didnt feel the bump

the dealership i went to to fix my door(for free) said itll be a MINIUM of 200bucks to fix my rear bumper...not gonna get insurance involved sinces its afriend but his parents are gonna pay me back as soon as i get the bill...

now i cant drive my NEW CAR FOR LIKE A FEW DAYS, driving the 98v6 for now...lol

I WAS IN PARK, lol, he hit me from behind because sum1 was trying to get in front of him, so he moved up, and hit me, im a good driver, he is just retarded...lol

and yea i just got the thing...

pay the difference and get a Cobra rear bumper.

what u mean? take his money, and use some of mine and just get a new bumper? but how would i talk my dad into that and stuff? (how much is a cobra bumper + paint)

I don't think it would be anymore than 500.

But yeah, take their money that you get from the accident and combine it with some of your money to get a completely new bumper. Cobra definitely....

please keep the stock GT bumper, your car is not a cobra keep it that way.

I agree. I've been quoted 250 bux to strip, re-prep, paint, and re-install my rear bumper.

You can always have them fill the Cobra in with body filler.

If it happened at school, why don't you go up to the kid and tell him he hit your car, and ask him to pay for it? If some kid did that to me, I'd be all over him. Follow him home and tell his mommy what he did. Then politely remind them both that hit and run is a situation that you can get the cops involved in.

it was at school and i talked to him 2day in person, he said he'd pay for it, since its already being fixed, basically my dads gonna pay for it and then when i show him the bill, he will get the money and pay me..

a kid came sOOO close to hittin my car back in HS...i was barked on the end row and his miror hit my window...lol it then broke off didn't do anything to my car it was some crappy Legend with ricer mirrors...

man...the same thing happend to me when i first my car. like the second week i had it, it was bumper to bumper leaving school and some girl behind me in an audi pressed the gas for some reason and rear ended me pretty good. but she got lucky and there wasnt a dent or even a scratch for that matter. she got lucky if i saw a dent i was gonna be cussing up a storm.

o and when did mt get so many smilies....yea a little of topic i know.

its been like 3 days and im going crazy, i miss my GT!!!! lol, i feel incomplete without it now...:(

I HOPE IT IS, i heard they are having problems with the door, BUT as of today, te bum[per is off my car and being repainted n stuff...my door before, when u close it, and it shuts, it makes a RATTLE sound...they r fixing that for free...but i hope it is, cause i wanna race and have u take off the air silencer :)

Better be done i'm working around the clock getting my nitrous finished........I cant figure out how to install the tach adapter and window switch......I will though and I have a full bottle :punk:

i was told that when racing an AUTO, u dont just floor it the whole time...i was told your suppost to kno shift points(idk mine...lol i kno around 30 and 90) and when it SHIFTS, u let go, let it shift, then step on it again?

am i retarded and thats how your suppost to do it, or just flooring it works?lol

I've done both methods and I have gotten a better time watching the tach and as soon as it gets to the red I get off the gas a tad not much and then get back on it as soon as it shifts but i've also floored it the whole time and got about the same times.

But during regular driving I wait till about 1,800-2,000 let off and the gas and get back on it.....the sooner I get into the last shift the better...well for my gas at least

im jw one thing...when on highway at about 80mph around 2-2.5K RPMS, my car sounds like its BOGGING out...(the GT) i dont think thats healty is it?

other than that...the bumper...and the door, I LOVE MY CAR!!! lol

and yea, umm after i do SLP1, im gonna save for gears and a tuner...then ill start thinking of other stuff after i get those done ... lol

hmmmm when was the tranny fluid and filter changed?

i got no idea...is there a way i can check it? if not, should i just go ahead and get my fluid and filter changed?

and its not my TRANNY is it? just possibly the fluids and filter?

do got a 45-day tranny warranty tho...lol

I'd take full advantage of of that 45 day warrenty and ask about that. I dont know if its your tranny or not its just something good to do.

ok, well ill talk to my dad 2morrow, and see if im correct about my warranty...if not, could i just replace fuel and filter, and see if it runs better on highway at high RPMS? if that doesnt work, then tell him to see wuts wrong?

Thats what I do if I cant figure whats wrong with it after replacing damn near everything you can in the general area of what it could be then I take it to someone.............but since you have that warrenty i'd just let them look at it and let them replace it for free

well about the transmission thing, my dad said that "oh thats just the sound of a GT" jokingly...but im sure a BOGGLING sound thats louder than anything i can think of is the exhaust when its stock...lol

he said he'll check it out as soon as we get it back...
