and doesnt that make your exhaust somewhat louder? not much but alittle?

as long as i can get UNDER 15, and show my friend at work that thinks i cant get under 15 with a stock 4.6 (camaro guy...sigh)

i MIGHT have SLP exhaust by then but idk if itll be installed...

spike_africa 01-17-2006 08:25 PM

m0nkeh 01-17-2006 08:26 PM

indeed he did, ill explain what happened, lol. he knew there was a lean spike at the initial "hit". the reason this lean spike was there was do to the fact that the solinoid drew its fuel preassure directly above cyl #1,there was not enough fuel to keep the injector supplied with fuel, when activating the nitrous. it went lean, lean=mean and well stock gt pistons are junk, lol. he did however come up with a fix for this problem(like today, lol) or at least it sounds like a good idea(in theory<sp? ). instead of mounting the fuel solinoid supply line after the rail gets its fuel he mounted it so it gets its supply BEFORE the rail there-fore(in theory<sp? ) the solinoid and rail will have enough "reserve" fuel in them, not to run leam anymore. this way keeping the rail full AND supplying the solinoid with fuel, :)

Your theory confuses me........what does mounting it in a different place have to do with this...its going to suck out the same amount of fuel no matter where its at....or did I miss something? :surrender :helpsmili

Might wanna run this by some of the other nitrous users on here because a lot of stock GT's can handle a 100 shot without problems.

Sounds more like a detonation problem to me.....bad wiring or something because if this was a serious problem then nitrous companies wouldnt have take fuel from the test port if they knew that the #1 cylender was running dangerously lean.

spike_africa 01-18-2006 07:44 AM

While that sounds good its still going to have a lean spike becuase it sucks alot of the fuel from the line. Regardless of what you do a returnless fuel system car with a wet kit will have a lean spike hell even cars with return fuel systems ahve lean spikes its just a matter of trying to make it less lean when you spray.

And i dont think i will be running i will go watch. I dont need to run till i get more mods i know what my car runs as it sits allready.

You'll be getting your plenum soon so you can put your t/b with it.....come on

m0nkeh 01-18-2006 09:36 AM

how long would it take you to save the extra $100 on your own? it's really not a good idea to borrow from friends.

m0nkeh 01-18-2006 09:41 AM

uhhh me, at my current rate...maybe 15-20 a week...but its one of my best friends and he agreed to it...should i or na...

I've gotta agree with Floppy, I've seen a lot of good friendships go south because of money issues...it's not an incredibly large sum of money and as long as you both agree on the payment plan, there SHOULDN'T be any problems. If you can get the money by yourself, that's always the best way to do it. :beerchug:

m0nkeh 01-18-2006 09:46 AM

alright, ill just see if im able to save...

Rabbit 01-18-2006 09:55 AM

Yeah, that's what I would do. Me and my wife sold her minivan (thank God I no longer own a minivan, now own a Durango on 20's but anyway) to one of her friends....and well, she was supposed to pay us weekly ($50) and she was supposed to have it paid off last October, to date she has paid.........ohhhh.....HALF!!!!!

NOt saying you're not good for it, but you never know what circumstances may come up within the payback period.

m0nkeh 01-18-2006 10:00 AM

true but since its only 100, i was figuring id give him 15-20 each thursday (payday for me) ...but idk yet for sure neways, might just say HEY MOM GIMME MONEY, ill mow the yard...lol

Seriously just put a focus pump on there. Its not that much work if you can drop the fuel tank which is a breeze if you have room. Its extra insurance. I have a walbro on mine and it works great. Yes it does work on a returnless. (i know ill hear crap). Ive been spraying for going on 2 years now. I pretty much sprayed the 100 shot every saturday for most of the summer. The engine will hold up just fine as long as you take all the right steps. Spend the 2 -3 hundred bucks on a pump put a window switch on it and spray away.

Icefreezen 01-18-2006 11:22 AM

I'm gonna hold out on the fuel pump till about next month...I should be fine with a 100 shot on the stock pump...I wanna bump it up to 125 when I get the Focus pump...

like I said I have a window switch, tune, changing the fuel filter and running 93 octane I should be just fine for the moment

you will be totaly fine just always remember to change tunes before you spray.

And maybe i will run depends on how i feel. I am more interested in helping you get going fast really.

And monkey you could just not get the SLP and get a cheaper catback and save the money for a h-pipe. cause with that mid pipe ask Ice you will want cats with ur mid pipe cause of how loud they are.

Hell there is a guy looking to tradea flowmaster catback for a stock gt catback, you could do that. just cost you shipping.

dom 01-18-2006 12:59 PM

you need to establish authority on a loan position...
