Sae??

alright i dont know if this is a dumb question or what and im sure somone else may have the same question..what does this phrase "non sae corrected" or corrected times mean...when some of you guys say what your car does in the 1/4 what do you mean by sae corrected or not...i have my own theory but im prolly wrong..i was thinking it was like your time minus you reaction time but i duunnno tell me plezzz

SAE = society of automotive engineers

SAE doesnt come into play in the 1/4... it has to do with your dyno numbers.

Standard dyno #s are what your car makes at that specific density elevation where they dyno is... SAE corrects them using a mathematical formula so that dyno #'s can be more consistent from location to location... its not perfect, but its a close enough kind of thing.

In the quarter we're talking about corrections for density altitude, meaning your car runs XX.XX&XX.XX at that track, but could run faster or slower when corrected to sea level.
