Grimmz 12-14-2005 06:46 PM

i guess it kinda depends how much highway you drive...lol good luck on gettin the GT...I tried to convince my dad I wanted a GT about a week after he bought me this one...we test drove one with an exhaust and few other goodies...amounted to just under 300 at the wheels...i nearly shat myself...even since then my car has never felt the same...lol

White04GT 12-14-2005 06:47 PM

Intake, Exhaust 3.90's/4.10's.

MattJ 12-14-2005 06:48 PM

Intakes on GTs are worthless. Get a nice filter like fram airhog instead and save yourself an extra 150 bucks on 3hp.

If you plan on adding Forced Induction then go with 3.73's but if you are going to go NA then with 4.10's. You could be one of the first to put 3.90's in and let us know how the feel.

4.10's don't get the greatest gas mileage but 3.73's are pretty good.

PureStang 12-14-2005 06:49 PM

for get the UDP......u dont need them until u have every last bolt on u can possibly do.....and if u plan to S/C it...than ull need to put the stock pullies back on

stangspeed 12-14-2005 06:53 PM

3.73's if you ever plan on putting a charger on... ;)

madmatt 12-14-2005 06:53 PM

Get 4.10's and a midpipe.

Damnit, I hate being stupid!!!

m0nkeh 12-14-2005 07:29 PM

how about...

Motive Performance Plus 3.90 Gears
Mustang SLP Loudmouth Catback (99-04 GT)
Eibach Pro Kit Spring Set (79-04 V8 Coupe & 94-04 V6 Convertible)

818 ? or no springs? maybe just use that money to save towards rims+wheels?

Just remember its going to be like 250-300 for the install of the gears...I would maybe hold on the springs if you only got 800 bucks

m0nkeh 12-14-2005 07:34 PM

true, i forgot about installation :( and does it cost like 100 for exhaust installation or am i gonna have to try to have my dad do it? lol

Do the exhaust yourself..it really isent that hard at all

m0nkeh 12-14-2005 07:48 PM

how much HP gain in both? 5-10?

PureStang 12-15-2005 05:38 AM

wat do you mean? ull only get a 1 or 2 hp gain....and good choice on getting 3.90's thats wat im eventually getting

IOwnASilveradoandAMustang 12-15-2005 05:49 AM

???????

I've noticed maybe a 1 mpg decrease in my 4.10, If you're gonna up your gear, no sense in going with anything other than 4.10. Its not like alot people make it out to be, its well worth it in my opinion and having my mustang as one of my daily drivers I love it, just can't wait to get the S/C on !!! .. I got my Cold Air Intake off ebay for like 30 bucks, thats the complete tubing and filter... GOOD LUCK !!!

Islander03GT 12-15-2005 06:12 AM

Why not put that money down towards buying the new stang?

lower payment > mods

m0nkeh 12-15-2005 06:33 AM

gonna try to talk down to 13K, then put 1K down anyways...and other stuff, so payments will be fine...soo SLP exhaust and some gears? :)

To tell you the truth .. I think Flows sound the best on mustangs ... I wish you could hear mine .. its like music to the ears.. lol .. it completely drowns out my truck now that I have the cats off .. :D
But yeah .. do the 4.10 .. you'll be alot happier than if you shortchange for a 3.73

shad0ws 12-15-2005 06:58 AM

Gimme 2 minutes and I'll have a linky up of my exhaust.

BBK X-pipe w/ cats and Flowmaster 40 series

Don't you agree on the flows sounding the best ?!

shad0ws 12-15-2005 07:05 AM

They sound good but alot of people disagree thinking it's more of a big truck kind of thing. I do have some other favorites though. I might go all SLP, headers back in the future. But I'm happy pissing the parking lot attendants and principals off at school for now.

put more down if you can, TRUST ME

madmatt 12-15-2005 10:13 AM

I dunno, Ive heard that down payments are pretty much useless with all the low apr stuff they have. We figured it up on a new car for my sister and I think like a 2k dollar downpayment would have saved like 10 bucks a month. Seems better spent on the first couple payments. I dunno though.
