Can someone explain to me why the Razzi Kits are so cheap in price? I would believe cause it is made of crap and would crack VERY easily if you hit suttin?
Cause, I am considering the front bumper cause of the price. MY stock bumper has a nasty scratch on it.

Am I safe with Razzi? I just wanna get the Front bumber cover, not the whole kit.

okies, the reason the Razzi' parts are so cheap is because they DO NOT REPLACE your front or rear bumpers (or side skirts for that matter!) they mearely HANG OFF the old bumper, as you can see this bodykit starts right uder the indetation for the license plate, you can pull of that look of the front and sides, but on the back it bulges out and looks rather goofy. Also, it would not fix that sratch you have, unless you got the whole thing repainted, which you might have to have done anyhow...
it leaves most of your old bumper visible, on the back it starts two inches or so below the MUSTANG indents...

 

I dont like any of the kits out there other than the big three, roush, saleen and steeda. Course then FRPP makes all their stuff too...darn it it looks so good.

 

If its cheap, odds are its fiberglass as well.

You don't want fiberglass parts for a body kit. They crack very easily. Spend more for a urethane kit, urethane will flex in an accident instead of crack.

 

The steeda splitter is like $399.00 EXPENSIVE

The razzi bumper is only like $249.00

More likely that not it uses 3m tape! i know i was watching some tuner make over show or something, and they were doing a civic (yes they made a point of the car always being done) and they were putting the side skirts on an they said the factory says they just need this 3m tape, but they put some type of silicon adhesive to help X_X :3some:

 

also, the steeda front splitter is just that, a splitter, and it also attaches to your stock front bumper, utilizing your old foglights (a rather odd look) but i would trust it from steeda, lol, afterall half the price is in the name! :icon_chee

Hey man if your really looking at a new front bumper go to cruizinconcepts.com that place sells awesome priced fiberglass and polyurethane my back piece and side skirts are 8-10 layer fiberglass and my front piece is polyurethane.

Saleen's body kit is one of the best as it is windtunnel tested. That being said, alot of people dont want gills and excessive vents all over their car and I believe that you have to forgo foglights. Not to mention, it is one of the most expensive and has been known to need quite a bit of prep work before it's painted. Note that the S281E hood.

Steeda doesn't have a full body kit but it does have a splitter, a good hood, and a functional Wing on it's Q400.

The steeda splitter is brittle and (not bendy like urathane), it sits low, and if you bump into one of those stops in a parking lot hard enough, it could definitely brake. On the other hand, it's build for racing so it's relatively light weight (considering any weight in an add on is extra), and extremely effective at high speeds (partially due to the fact that it won't bend like urathane). Note, however that even the Mach 1 chin spoiler offers significant improvements at speeds in excess of 100mph.

Expensive but decent, Jack Roush is well known in the racing world. I Personally like the wing and the side exhaust. Note that Roush also makes great seat belt guides that dont knock into the CDC light Bar.

Stay away from imposters... Stalker II is a horrible mrbodykit knockoff of this kit. This is a very nice poly urathane kit which is aerodynamically sound. It sits low and has some neat side scoops. I've seen this time and time again at shows and it gets attention. Also, the price is pretty good too. Note that they also sell a very high quality Cobra R hood/Wing/Solid Front Facia. (Did you know that the real Cobra R's splitter is just an addon?)They also make a cool kit for 95-98 mustangs as well.

This kit is well made and but it's styling is quite different. Note the ram air hood which actually exends into the the well in front of the stock Grille. The area around the rear coutouts (for exhaust) get dirty really quick but defintiely gives the car a low-to-the-ground look. It's a good kit if you dont want to look like everyone else.

Razzi, Xenon, APC, Vader... these kits are less popular but each has it's advantages and disadvantages.

CDC (www.classicdesignconcepts.com) doesn't make a body kit but they do sell speedster tonneau covers and a side exhaust system which has some addons for the bumpers as well.

When it comes to body kits, it's either about styling and in some cases aerodynamics. There are certainly quite a few options out there but it's a good idea to consider the following.
1.) Does the front have a lip or splitter that will help deflect air around the car instead of under it?
2.) For hoods, Does it have vents (preferable facing back), which will let heat out, thus getting rid of the parachuting effect.
3.) Is the kit made of poly urathane or fiberglass. Fiberglass is more likely to brake if it is bumped.
4.) Is this a full replacement or just an add on.
5.) Does it make my car look like domestic rice?
These are all things to consider.

I have recently purchased a razzi kit for my 05 gt. It looks pretty sick. First off, it does come with hanging ledges of 3m tape. But most the adhesion comes with the adhesives the kit comes with. (This stuff is STICKY and STRONG as hell!). But each part also wraps into the wheel wells and you put screws in through each part into the wheel well. Trust me, it ain't coming off! (Side note make sure you measure and cut holes on the bottom of the side skirts so you can still fit the jack in the slot underneath car...made that painful discovery when i had to try to take of the tires to put the screws in the rear air dam part) However, i did recently crack my front bumper. Not really sure how even, maybe a rock. But other than that, these parts are durable and will stay on the car just as long as the factory parts would have!
