need an idea...

welll iwanna tint my windows...i am going to go real dark in the back window and the 2 side windows in the back....then in the front pass..and driver windows i wanna go dark enough so that it looks like how some cars come with stock tint or smoked glass whatever you wanna say...but i do not want the front windows dark enough to give me any trouble at night ( i had a camaro so dark that i had to roll umm down to see outs the mirrors when backing outa the driveway) so i understand the percentages and stuff but i dont know what i want so tell me some numbers that would be good to go with

I have Limo on my rear and small side's and 20% on the doors and I can see perfectly.

Mikes04stang 11-30-2005 08:28 PM

i got limo out back and 15% on the doors. kinda hard to see in dark areas but its aight.

whitethunder46 11-30-2005 08:38 PM

20% you can see fine out of at night, but I wouldn't go any darker. Also, you might want to check out how strict they are about the law of tint in your area. I got pulled over in ohio for having 20%. As far as rear goes, get limo, i think it's 10? maybe 5%

Mikes04stang 11-30-2005 08:44 PM

yea limo is 5%. i wanna put that all the way around, but i wouldnt be able to see s*** then.

Just2fast 12-01-2005 04:03 AM

yea here where i live your aloud to have the back how you please but the front unless its stock your not sposed to have any tint...so if i came up with a percent of tint that was similar to a car that cam with stock smoked glass or mabe just a tad darker i would be set...

whitethunder46 12-01-2005 09:50 AM

hey, I just saw your from Cleveland, I'm from Ohio.

I'm 99% sure that the tint law is a STATE law and not district. Legally here in the Dayton area you can tint your front windows 50% or higher, but 50 is as dark as you can go. This would be liek something factory as it isn't that dark. And yes, in the rears you can go as dark as you want. If you don't have a place in mind yet to do the install and if you have a "Ziebart" near you, I would check them out. They do a great job.
