The quarter panel doesnt look taht bad from the picture but it is REALLY ****ED up and i need to get a side scoop and replace my bumper as well from getting hit over summer. The side scoop and rear bumper is not my first priority at the moment

Why don't you let the insurance take care of it? Replacing a 1/4 panel if very expensive.

Steeda21 11-04-2005 04:14 PM

i dont want my insurence rate to go up

Well your looking at something in the neighborhood of around $900-$1200 depending of where you go.

MattJ 11-04-2005 04:22 PM

i know you dont want to hear this but you wont be able to replace that yourself. its a lot of work and your side window and rear window have to be taken out. I had a dent above the scoop and the list was 1 page long on different tasks to complete. a body shop is going to have to fix that.

k thanks matt

Here is what you do.

Drill a 1/2" right in the middle of the dent. Then, put a bolt through it and attach some chain to the bolt. Wrap the chain around a tree or on the hitch to your trailer (that's what I do), then drive the car. Either the dent or the fender will come off. Either way, you git the job done.

damn steeda that sucks ass, But if i were you just go to the supermarket one day or something, and when you get out just act like you never saw it before and call the cops file a police report, say someone hit you and prolly ran and let the insurance take care of it

Then you risk getting busted for insurance fraud and go to jail, get a huge fine, and never be able to get insured anywhere else again. I wouldn't have big enough nuts to try that one man. Just bite the bullet and save to get it fixed if you wanna bypass the ins. company. Making friends with body shop workers = cheap fixes :)
