Be careful man, a blow tire at 140 in a vert wouldnt even leave enough for dental record identification.

Depends on the year and if there is a chip installed.

I bet the micro tuner deleted the speed limiter.

140 in a vert on a highway - must have a death wish. That thing must of had some mods, heavy azz cars.

I like going fast, but those kinds of speeds, only at the track.

that's cool would it go any faster? i love speed. i got mine up to a hair past 145 but then my country road started becoming extremely country and had to let off, but it was still pulling. oh yeah did you have the top down? now that would be cool. i mean shoot, if you did (god forbid) wreck would it really matter if it was up or down. i would try it if i had a vert.

Glad you had fun. But that kind of speed on a higway in a vert isn't for me. I'm sure you know what could happen if you wreck so I'm not going to go into that. But I'm sure it was a rush for sure.

My 01 vert has hit 155 miles per hour! ..I've only done it twice since I've had it but it does get pretty scary at those speeds!

Man you guys are nuts! I got my vert to 120mph a couple of times and that was fast enough for me. I guess some people love speed, but it's not for me. I'm more into sitting next to a ricer at a stop light and smoking him/her from light to light.......not like that's any safer! ha ha

The fuel door and chin spoiler are clearly what enabled the 140mph run.

Or it was his horrible horrible grammar

Going that fast and risking your own life is one thing, but on the highway you are risking everyones life thats in a 200+ foot radius of you and is purely idiotic.
Not cool at all...

Well said. The fun thing to do without harm to anyone is at the stoplight, Give em enough throttle in 1st and 2nd gears to show them they would be toast after anything further. Then let off and stay cool. Next stop light if they want to try again. Well you see my point. Street racing and just showing muscle are 2 different things. I prefer to just let my little lion growl some on the street, not a full roar..

You can still kill someone at WOT in 1-2 gear. Take it to the track.

Plus you'll get all the activist groups pissed when you crash a real car on the highway and kill 8 other people. Then the ricers win.
