Opinion: White lettered tires
I saw a mustang today. It was mobile so I couldn't catch the exact year but it was a 99/04 model. It had white letter tires but I could not see what brand. they seemed to be low profile wide tires. Not the cheap superstar radials or whatnot that you can get for 60 bucks a tire. I tought they looked cool rolling down the road. What do you think? Do they even make a high dollar ZR or performance rated white letter tire anywhere?? I always had the cheap ones on my truck.

Are you talking about slicks? Such as M/Ts?

No. Street tires. Raised white letters. Example: are there any 245/45/17 white letter tires on the market?
|
I have actually wondered how white lettered tires would look on my car. Hoosier makes some white letter street tires. A buddy of mine had them on his firebird several years ago. They were similar to 45 series..not sure exactly what they were but they weren't tall. Dunno if that helps.

Id have to see it to like them or not. I just dont know.

sounds like it might be pretty cool

Yes i've seen them as well! I think they look pretty sweet! I too would like to know where i could pick up a set! :)

He could of just gotten this pen which is made for white walls and painted it on.

I think white lettered tires add to the look of any car. I would have put a set on mine if available. You can tell a big difference on a truck with and a truck without them. Blackwalls look cheap to me. As for the pen, I've seen a few cars that tried to paint the letters and they all looked pretty crappy.
