Anyone have any experience with this?

I've used their concrete mix, it worked out great!

Used it on my garage. Its a 3 car garage so you can imagine it took a few days to do, but so far its held up pretty well. After 2 or 3 years its held up pretty decently, although areas of constant friction, IE where we park, in some spots are getting ripped off. Color wise it hasnt changed any except for the area outside the garage door, which was mostly because it rained the fuckin day we did it. If i had done it, i would have gone a more permanent route like floor tiles, i love a garage with black/white floor tiles.

ucoat it has a lifetime warrenty but is a bit more pricey

I have had the coating in the garage six years now and is still holding up great. Small parts of it are chipping off where the garage door is from the rain seeping underneath it but is no problem.

It gets expensive if you have a large garage, but is totally worth it in my opinion. Just make sure you get a couple thick coats on the floor.

I thought it was pure shit in all honesty. Ours was about three coats i believe and within six months began to chip from dropping tools on it, areas that were rubbed often (where I put my car ramps eventually went to bare concrete again).

U-Coat is worth it for sure if you plan on keeping the place a while. Or doing the tiles, never looked at the price of those, but they look super badass.

Solid hand tools do chip it pretty bad, and fyi, gasoline breaks down the epoxy. I had spilled a little and it ended up eating away at the finish. The epoxy eventually hardened up leaving a rough surface.

+1 and gear oil with friction modifier.....lol.

My garage isn't big enough to really do work in it. It will just have my bike and car in it. No tools. Nothing.

It will get stepped on and drove on, at the most. lol.

How long did it take you guys?

99MustangGT 10-07-2010 03:05 PM

Should work fine and last a long time.

With two coats it was about 2-3 hours on a two car garage, because of drying time. Curing time is 2 days I think.

Fuck the quickrete epoxy any bullshit. Man up and get some black and white tiles, looks 100x better and lasts longer.

+1 to this.

But it took me like 3-4 hours and then I let it dry and harden for three days. I had to leave the car oustide for THREE WHOLE DAYS!!! :(

I thought it was going to abandon me as it's driver lol.

Fuck no. At my job we spent 8k on industrial floor tiles and they fucking suck dick. You spill anything no matter how water tight they say they are they will seep through. Oil, water, ext will all seep through it. They slide. Don't want to really put high pressure point suck as jacks or stands. Non the less we threw 8k in the dumpster after 8 months.
