Hold on 2011 Mustangs..
 

I know you may have been seeing the new Mustangs on the street and a few at the dealership but their is a major hold on releasing them. There are several quality rumors for the reason for the hold but i am patiently waiting.


At some point, someone up top will notice there are THOUSANDS of Mustangs produced but not shipped. And they'll run out of space, creating a NEW issue which can be blamed on the shipper not having capacity. Manufacturing delays can be blamed on suppliers. Remember, they don't actually BUILD anything -- they ASSEMBLE it. There are hundreds of parts from many suppliers. So the "holds" have been reported as follows:

1. Volcanic eruption stopping parts (PCM) from supplier in Europe (plausible)
2. A-pillar trim from supplier (plausible but not very excusable)
3. Fuel delivery "chip" (not likely)
4. Commodity holds (tires, GT500 engines, 19" polished wheels, etc.) (plausible)
5. Engine "tick" caused by manual transmission (not very plausible)
6. Lack of availability of 18" Pirellis. (not very plausible)
7. Other random conspiracy theories (dubious plausibility

WTF...is Ford gonna be like Chevy now and take 3 years to release a car they have said was ready a billion times??

damn, this sucks as bad as last night when i was going to go test drive the new 5.0.

i get a call by the sales manager and he tells me the first 5.0 is in with the 6 speed and every thing i wanted in the car, i get to the dealership and after they look around for 15 minutes they tell me they dealer traded it. FFFFFFFFUUUUUU!!!!!

Can you really afford one of those anyway?

/\/\/\/\/\ if i found selling the evo worth it i could, but i don't think i will sell the evo for just the GT.

as much as i love the car i cant put 4 people in it and i cant drive it in the snow, so i will wait to buy one so i can have both.lol

The rumors now are the hold is gone, and people have already been receiving GT's

What annoys me is they still have the comericals (sp) going, but yet they're on hold.
I'd request my money back or some kind of discount, because you didn't pay money to wait on something. Should at least have a rental car. haha

Ford customer service says the hold is over, it didn't really last that long anyways. Plus when you order they do tell you it can be 6 weeks to months before the car comes in, at least my dealer did.

seen a blue one today drive by me in a parking lot. it had the 5.0 badge on it so unless someone stuck it on there they got theirs already
