Hey folks.

well i know over the past 6 months ive posted a lot of FML threads, from the wife cheating, to divorce, to that insane medical bill, to car breaking down, to just about all the crap that was going wrong at once

well

shit looks pretty good now.

I have the wife moved out, we get along fine. I get to see my boy almost every day, and i have enough money to get by for the year while im paying this alimony.

I got a roomate to help with bills, he is actually my photography shooting partner and a good guy. We have a side business going for photography which is actually generating us some money. Not much, but any bit helps. We are going to remodel the basement, knock down some walls and build others and put a photography studio down there.

that 7,500 bill that i got for logans dental surgery is now handled, i popped out a 401k hardship withdrawl for the amount, then when i called to pay it out i managed to work them down to $2,400 instead of 7,500. That was cool cause the studio lighting we were borrowing from a business friend needed to be returned so i was able to get us some studio lighting, a new lens, and pay off several thousand worth of debt.

the wife seems satisfied with the support im giving her, we are going over the final seperation agreement and so far we have not had any arguements and seem to be on the same page for everything. she is leaving the equity of the house alone, and staying out of my 401k.

Ive burned off about 15 lbs of fat and added 5lbs of muscle, and all in all im feeling good.

So... FML, not so much now. I had some pretty dark days, several months of hopelessness as i was scrambling to come up with a plan while having pile of shit after pile of shit lumped on me. Tackle problems one issue at a time and eventually you find yourself back above ground. just keep at it.


now im waiting for the meteor to come out of the sky and land on my house as im writing this.

just to suggest from personal experience. I know it's easy to say now..but you need to do it. be there for you boy..especially through the important years.

this is kind of hard to talk about, but I figure its something I should say. my dad was a great dad from birth to about 10. he hung out with me and taught me like a father should. but after that he wasn't. my mother taught me nothing about becoming a man during the important years. nothing about hard work, how to talk to girls, etc, etc...I had to figure all this shit out. taught my self how to shave, how to turn a wrench, how to drive a car. it was tough. during my teens I did stupid shit and really needed a fathers guidance. but he wasn't around. so I had to deal with it and figure shit out alone. my mom was no help...

just some food for thought. be there for him.

Glad ya made it halfway through it with minimal self esteem damage dude. Failed realtionships are probably the worst thing any man can go through. I've loved and lost many times in my early years and each one hurt just as bad.

Thankfully for me no children involved with all my other failed relationships.

Just keep looking and you'll find the one meant for you.. Maybe, I dunno. I found mine and I wouldn't change the way things happened to get where I am for anything.. All the pain paid off for me. But I went for many years lonely, and borderline depressed about it.. GL to ya man...
