I had just left from a waffle house run ( yummy ) and i was driving back home and i look behind me and a Mustang is comin up. Turns out it was a purrrrtttyy Charcoal Cobra. very very clean car, he passes me, then slows down and rides beside me. we reach a red light, look at each other and nod. Then we drove down the road for about 5 miles side by side, just cruisin. Its that type of unspoken bond and respect that make being a Mustang owner the joy it is.

I know this is totally random, but I just felt like sharing

 

I love it when something like this happens. Even when it isn't a mustang, it shows that some people have respect for other people's cars.

 

Yea Waffle House GOOOOOOD!!! Thats cool when something like that happens.

 

It is cool, but some Mustang owners around here are douches. Like if I see a nice clean stock Mustang, I'll wave or something and they just look at me like I'm stupid and keep driving.

I really only throw the horns \m/ at modded Mustangs I see, now. If they're true Mustang enthusiasts, they'll always acknowledge that.

 

I have gotten to the point where I give cars (other than Mustangs) the thumbs up, it seems to get a better response for whatever reason.. Bikes get a small wave and Clean/Modded Mustangs get \m/ .

Civics and other Rice burners with giant fart can exhaust/other clearly ricer effects get a healthy dose of exhaust fumes.

 

I'll wave to a non-honda import if it isn't over done or sound like a dying cat and the driver doesn't look like a douch. I will respect that not everyone grows up with muscle cars, for some reason though this rarely happens...

 

There aren't any tastefully done imports around here other than the occasionaly clean G35 or 350Z. All of the others that I recall seeing are all riced out, hat cocked to the side big pimpin' with their wal*mart stereo's blasting and you can never forget the chain saw mufflers.

 

I have seen one or two around here that look decent, An eclipse and an Eagle Talon, the guy in the talon falls into the "looks like a douch" category... there is an eclipse back home that a guy I know owns that is done nicely too. Thats why I said not often.

 

I get more attention around here from people in SS and Trans Ams than Mustangs....sad to say.

You can't beat the bond Corvette owners have for each other though, now that is one awesome bond.

just today i had a guy in a riced out A4 with a big body kit revving at me, when he stopped revving i put my window down and asked him if he would have revved at me if i wasn't turning left? his girl friend started laughing then he gave me the middle finger and drove off really fast all most hitting a mini van.

i love ricers.lol

 

+1 to this. There's a guy that lives around here and everytime I'm leaving from school I turn left and he goes right. He drives a Saturn Ion Redline and thinks it's some tough **** (probably doesn't even put out 200 to the wheels). Everytime he turns he revs at me and then stomps on it (more like downshifting than really "stomping" on his POS).

One day I decided I'd go his way behind him. After getting through traffic we hit the highway and I pulled along beside him and revved at him. What did he do? He ignored me lol and just kept looking forward. So I downshifted to third and took off leaving him some nice exhaust fumes to suck up. About five minutes later he pulls back beside me, turns down a street and gets on it. WTF? lol.

So yesterday I saw him again, this time in the Cobra. I'm driving and he goes flying past me and gets onto the interstate, so I followed in order to shut him up once and for all. He was flooring it up the on-ramp and I was at half-throttle stuck to his rear bumper and as soon as we hit the interstate I flew by him giving him some nice tire spin smoke and the beautiful sound of the supercharger as I stomp his little saturn.



There's a lot of that around here with all the college kids that think their stock Evos, Stis, Lexus, etc. are actually fast. Some kids have some pretty nice cars, like some nice 6.0 GTOs, WS6s, a real nice 300zx that sounds ricerish but is real clean. The the ultra douschebags with their BMWs that are missing the front bumpers, but yet have a roll cage and racing seats (the cheap ones that tear after like two weeks lol). Yea....

The mustang guys up here are half/and half. One of my buddies I met before he got his procharger and he's real cool, but another kid has an older 99-04 GT that he thinks is some hot ****.

 

Usually every modded mustang I see just flies by me or cuts me off as soon as they get the chance, I hate mustang drivers.

 

There's tons of mustangs around my area. I don't really wave at any of them if I don't know them. I only know my buddy with his 04 GT, other then that, if they don't wave at me, they don't get anything in return. I'm too afraid of rejection. :P The 4-5 modded ones generally wave at me, but the others are all gay.

 

well theres some good and bad, i was just pointing out how cool it is when you randomly have an encounter with a car owner that gets it. Its just nice.

08 GT how old are you? And yeah theres a decent number of mustangs around me but im prbly 1 outa 3 or so that mod. And with as little as i have, i have more than most of them. The only nicer mustang out there than my brothers, or equal, is a 08 silver GT with black stripes. Only reason why i think its equal is because he has godly exhaust. Not too loud, but when he stomps it omfg, sex. All the mustang drivers besides the few all have stockers and are serious doushes.

 

haha, well that sucks that most stang owners where yall are, are douches, ive had like 3 stangs wave at me or give a nod. haha.

I live in Fayetteville, NC and there are a TON, TON ,TOOOON! of mustangs around here. Im part of a LOCAL mustang club that has 143 paid members. This doesnt even account for like half the mustangs around here. However 50-60% of them are modded in some way or another.

 

yeah around Concord there is a lot up there, I think the speedway has something to do with that too GDP.

 

i agree normally they are..... Except awhile back i was going to walmart and this 5.0 pulls up next to me. It sounds great. No cats. Guy looks over and i tell him it sounds Bad ***.... what does he do. Says "oh really, no kidding dumb ***" and then burns out and takes off. I really wanted to **** him up but decided it was not worth going to jail over..... yes i do have anger issues lmao.

I completely agree with your comment too. I think a lot of people around here think that the people who mod their stangs are douches, but it's actually the complete opposite. The guys with stock, or maybe just exhaust, stangs are the real douchebags. Not to mention the guys with their 350Zs that thank their too good to even look at me in the GT or Cobra. Even though either would spank their ***, and I know that for a fact.

 

I was wondering how you managed to afford a new GT and a Cobra at a young age. But that explains it, you should post some pics of your cars man, i havent seen em much.

 

woohoo being 19 yrs old ftw! hahaha. I had some little small honda rev at me on the way home today, i laughed where he could visibly see it. My stang isnt heavily modded, but i just got it. I enjoy any car thats nice and doesnt sound like its dying when it goes down the road.

Getting back to the original thread here, I will wave at a stang as long as it looks or sounds good. usually they are both or neither. I hate seeing any mustang that has dirty front rims from lack of cleaning the brake dust off. I see alot of GT's here, and dull ugly front rims just mean they couldn't give a **** less about it.. Same with someone with a completely different color door, or hood, or bumper, usually means they replaced it from a wreck but just didn't or couldn't afford to paint it..

As far as douches goes, sometimes you can't tell if they are either. Case in point here.

There's a guy here who has a fcking beautiful mach 1. Blue with dark as hell tinted windows and black outs on at least his tail lights. sinister looking black rims and big fat meats in the rear. Sit's low as ****, and is very eye catching. But he has the gadaam loudest exhaust I have ever heard. And when I see him ( usually going in opposite direction) he'll fcking blast the hell out of my ears.. It drowns out any hope of me doing the same to him.. lol

Then there's this dude here who has a sick looking late model Camaro. Black with some red accents, Sits low and pretty, exhuast comes together in the middle of rear bumper and is loud as the Mach1 I spoke of.

I got behind him 1 day at the light, and he has the cams talking, I;m like thinking I sure am glad I aint beside of him. Sounds real good. on green he takes off normal and me too. Then all of a sudden he slams it and geezus he was fcking bring front end up and sounding like a prostock. I just jumped on it and actually stayed within a decent length of him, Then he turned off and waved and he gave a big thumps up. LOL.

Sorry to be longwinded but it just depends on the person driving whatever kind of car. try to respect all of them within reason..

 

Got the whole next week off so that's my plans.

Missouri isn't bad. The drastic weather changes are just gay as hell. All of us mustang guys have been having to deal with sunshine one day and rain and snow the next, hard to keep a car clean in this weather......especially a Screamin Yellow Cobra that shows any dirt. Sucks. Hopefully next week will be better because we're suppose to have a cruise.

 

wow. sounds good, and rebel i partially agree with ya. but sometimes there are non douche guys who got a shaft from a wreck or something and have to be responsible instead of completley fixing their stangs. and haha that sounds like here this winter 08GT, snow one day, 69 degrees the next day...

I think it is so ******* stupid to have to pay to be a member of a car club.

 

thats cool, but it pays for the all ford super show we host every year, not to mention the cookouts, parties, ect we have a couple times a year. Also some of the insane discounts we get with local parts places, shops, ect.

 

I agree to agree with you GTman. I just hate seeing any car with mismatched colors, mainly because almost every ricer witht the big fcking wing will have a different color bumper or fender or door. But they still put those gadamm neon lights and glued on ground effects. And usually black stains around the bumper from a smoking motor that they drove too hard to beat someone in a race. Oh yeah and not mention, the lowered civic's and such that just bounce down the highway.. LOL.. at them..
