The 390 ft lbs are a tiny bit sad when we were all hoping for 400+ but with no weight gain it should be nice

Even though in the article it says that the Camaro and the Challenger are heavier...Im still not that impressed with those numbers...it seems like Ford could do better.

WHAT?!?!

Let's look at this.

The 93 SVT Cobra only had a 5.0 with 235 hp and 290 ft/lbs.

Now we're looking at 412 hp and 390 ft/lbs with the same exact displacement...

That's a huge ******* leap.

Especially compared to a 6.2 pushrod with only 420 hp.

I say great ******* job. The best job they've done so far.

Dude i went and looked at a 2010 GT with basically just an apearance package, brand new was 38,000. This was with the basics i believe, not even the shaker 1000.
Even went to build your own online and they had same prices. Also why the hell is "Grabber Blue" baby blue now? I love the original mach1 blue....Id love a 2011 Gt with MAch1 Grabber Blue with white Lemans goin down the middle...would be very secksy.

i wonder if the 2011 gt500 will have this 5.0 as well. It makes almost the 540 N/A. hopefully the 5.0s respond to forced induction well. id say they can pull more power out. bottom line i hope they are as reliable as the old 5.0's but i doubt we'll ever see that reliability again.

I see the GT premium at sub 30. Obviously you won't be able to get it at that price quite yet because of the stealership mark ups but who pays sticker

I'm exctited about the 2011 cars, but realisticly, having one is years off in my future. What I can look forward to is the amount of 03/04 Cobra owners who are going to sell to get a newer car, the price on them is bound to come down a bit.

True. Either way i wont buy one until late 2011 or 2012 if i can. I know my brother got his 2008 GT/CS in 2008 for 28,000 after talking it down from 31,000 so hopefully mine will be around the same price.

He was kinda evasive on some of my questions so i didn't want to push my luck...and i only had my camera phone and i don't have a clue how to get pix from there on my comp. sorry guysss!!!
