Who loves driving in the snow

i know i do it took me 4 hours to drive my car 3 miles that's how bad it was granted i didn't have my snow tiers on yet but mustangs are literally the worst car ever for snow :(

krazypony 12-09-2009 01:34 PM

well I believe the sn95 has to be the lightest body out of the mustangs, mine would go everywhere when I had my 98'

Stanger Banger 12-09-2009 02:26 PM

yeah one point the car was almost sideways driving straight lmao i just dropped 700 bucks on some expensive ass tiers and its a night and day experience with them i was plowing threw the snow with no slips or anything thank you baby Jesus was having doubts lol

one day ill have your model of car i love that body to death but im still a big fan of the 98 body this thing will last me around 70k more miles till it hits the fan

Deathdiesel 12-09-2009 02:34 PM

TIRES ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ And idk how it is to drive in the snow lol. Never get nuff of it.

Lazerred6 12-09-2009 02:44 PM

I drove my 98 stang for 3 years all through the winter and I didn't have any problem controling it and I almost never got stuck it was fun to drift every where I went.

the focus is less fun in the winter but it's much easier to drive

zigzagg321 12-09-2009 03:29 PM

My stang saw snow once...my old T-bird was a bitch to drive in the snow. This will be the first snow season where I have a 4wd truck... should be a little fun instead of a pain in the ass.

But it never sticks! :D

I've never driven in the snow. I'd like to, but not in my car. I've had the chance of driving in the snow before, my freshman year of college, tons of snow. But I didn't want to take the car out, wreck, and look like a dumbass.

'02SilverBullet 12-09-2009 04:27 PM

I have driven my stang in the snow several times. Yeah it sucks ass compared to other cars I have driven. But botom line. . . . . Any car in the snow . . . . I LOVE IT!

doobie 12-09-2009 04:28 PM

driving the mustang is fun in the snow, so long as you have some good snow tires and some empty roads. last year it snowed 2 feet in about 3hrs (during rush hour) and they didnt plow the highway because of all the traffic and i had to drive in it. it was horrible, even with snow tires. i was sideways, A LOT. took over 6 hours to drive 24 miles.

NewMustangMan 12-09-2009 04:37 PM

I love driving in the Snow no matter what car i have. Especially love it in the stang..... granted New mexico gets maybe 3 snow storms a year.... i still love it. love the rain too!

PureStang 12-09-2009 05:09 PM

I have to say an EVO in a snowy parking lot is tons more fun though.

Deathdiesel 12-09-2009 05:44 PM

If i get snow like that ^^ ill make sure to post a vid of me doing that on my 4 wheeler :D yes itll be cold.

drag_racer33 12-09-2009 05:54 PM

Its fun with the car (the few times ive done it) if you are on a road that isnt used a ton that has hard pack, or a freshly dusted parking lot! But you can't beat 4-wheeling through that with a good SUV or truck, better yet... snowmobile!

INtZ 12-09-2009 07:12 PM

Last winter i beat the snot out of my mustang, and i promised myself i wasn't going to do that again because i should have broken something but luckily didn't, however, we got freezing ran last night and i broke my promise. I'm a 10 year old trapped in an 18 year olds body. :dunno: I love bad weather::p :kekekegay:

krenogin 12-09-2009 07:15 PM

in the snow i can do 50mph donuts on my rancher. where its 4x4 with a limited slip front and a positive rear, it goes crazy fast.. my banshee,, it just doesnt move,, and my car, i cant get it out to play because i live on top of a mountain.

King 12-09-2009 07:35 PM

My car is garaged until the roads are clear again. Until then, I'm in my brothers Lebaron.

Mr. Zip 12-09-2009 07:38 PM

^ Sweet ride 8) How many inches did Boulder get the last four days?

Leonide 12-09-2009 07:50 PM

last time i drove my mustang in the snow, i scared the living shit out of myself. the road was solid snow. i couldn't stop. i nearly wrecked it several times, but i got lucky (and driver skill) enough to pull into a parking lot to sit and gather my balls from my chest. i had summer tires on. i had to drive the car too, i was forced to.

i also drove the mustang on a road that was solid black ice too. scared the crap out of me and the passenger.

NEVER EVER AGAIN IN MY LIFETIME. NEVER.

King 12-09-2009 08:05 PM

I don't know about Boulder, but I'm about 15 minutes away in Longmont and in the last four days we've got about 6 inches total. But we have been experiencing sub-zero temperatures the last four days too, so most of it is still around. My neighborhood is pure ice, while the city streets are slush and ice. And work sucks in this weather, I work outside and I don't think that it was above 0 +/- with the windchill today at all. It's pretty crazy out here right now.

Mr. Zip 12-09-2009 09:02 PM

Ohhh that sucks man. I've eaten in Longmont - I like that side of the area. My gf is from Erie, and there's nothing there lol. Her mom has to drive to Boulder every day... I hope she drives slowly!

haha, you should have seen the road to get back there...its ATLEAST 4 miles away from the road (its game grounds for hunters). it took us about 35-40 mins worth of driving in 6 " of snow. it had inclines that there is no way that an evo would have gotten up. there were also dips that it would have gotten stuck on.

there is no way an evo would have made it up this....as you can see, none of it is paved.....

For sure. But I've heard that the main roads are clear, it's just the side-roads and whatnot that are messy. Well, in town they are. I don't know about the Boulder area, but they're usually on top of that stuff. If you liked Longmont, then you've obviously never been to Pearl Street in Boulder. That place will definitely throw you for a loop with all of the strange, unique types of people you will run into.

that is exactly what i went threw with my summer tiers today was horrable

rkaz 12-10-2009 06:39 AM

I had a 79 trans am that I drove in snow and I don't c how it could b worse than that. Driving 1 way turn the wheel at all and your now going the other way. It's always fun, but that car wouldn't hardly move in the snow. I love driven my 4x4 ranger in 2 wheel, and if I get 2 out of control I can have 4 wheel with the turn of a switch.

mustangman95gt 12-15-2009 08:46 PM

i love driving in 4 inches or less! fish tailing controlled around my subdivision corners...i tank thru the snow with my tires and 160lbs in the trunk...and i laugh when i see idiots with their hummers and escalades off the road...i drive safely. i got caught a few times without snow tires...HOLY CRAP they work wonders

mustangman95gt 12-15-2009 08:47 PM

worst drive i had was normally a 15 minute drive home. but without snow tires on and with 8 inches of snow...it took me an hour and a half + about a half tank of gas!!
