Went to New Orleans for the first time.

Anyway, went to new orleans last weekend to go see I See Stars, In Fear and Fait, Parkway Drive, and A Day to Remember at the House of Blues. Awesome fucking show. Parkway stole it for sure. The pit was brutal as shit. After the show, I checked out bourbon street with my buddies and we found this bar called the Mango Mango and some dude who worked there I guess told us to go inside. He was trying to get some buisness I suppose. Anyhow, we checked it out, and sure enough like the dude said, the lady didnt card us, so we stayed there for a couple of hours and got pretty tipsy and after talking with the bartender we headed out to find a place she was telling us about called The Dungeon which is another bar. Sure enough, didnt get carded there either. haha. By this time two of my friends headed back to the room, so it was me and my friend. Well we headed up stairs and sat at this tiny bar that was in one of the many different rooms they had I suppose, and I found a cute ass bartender, lol. So we chilled for a bit drinking some buds and then I asked the bartender what was the strongest shit she had, and she said absinthe, so I order 2 shots of absinthe for me and one for my friend. Tasted like licorice. haha. Not too shabby. Wasnt green though, I guess its not as strong as euro absinthe, which is why it was legal I suppose. But after that I got a bunch more shots of different shit, and blacked out. lol...dont remember leaving or going back the room.....but I do know that I spent 500 fucking dollars in a day and a night. Fml....Cant wait to go back asap. Bourbon St. is the shit. Saw some wild stuff out there. hahaha. It was unreal.

I lived there back in the pre-Katrina days, when I was in college in Hammond, LA...which is about 45 minutes north of NO.

We'd hit up the french quarter on weekends and get completely fucked up...usually we'd drag a couple of hot but clueless freshman broads from school down there with us and get them completely smashed on hurricanes and hand gernades and by the end of the night (which was usually 6 in the morning) me and my buddy would switch off girls, and eventually end up at some shitty hotel out by the airport cuz we were too tired to drive back.

God....those were the days.
