my friend needs help.

so its not about a mustang but i thought id try neways seeing as how u guys make good suggestions.

so its a neon and it will not move. auto trany full trany fluid, and will shift in and out fine. in neutral engin revs and calms fine. in gear no movement. we tried to push it and it will not move in neutral either. so it seems like something in the trany, but at the time it broke down a rather large amount of clear liquid was dropped out the bottom i looked and all the fluids seemed to be all right. so idk what it could be,

any help would be great.

thanks,

What was going on when it broke? (truth please)

JackThe Ripper 09-24-2009 06:47 PM

maybe his torque converter blew?

Maybe that's what he gets for buying a neon?

Just messing atleast it's american I guess. Shouldn't this go in lounge? Not gen tech considering it's not a Mustang.

if the converter took a shit the car would just rev when in gear (D) IE no fluid.

does the car rev like its in neutral or park while its in gear?

if the car just bogs down when its in gear when you step on teh go fast peddle the tranny is prolly stuck in a higher gear... or the brakes are locked up

a auto just doesnt stop working from sitting still. do any neutral drops lately?

+1 on neutral drops or locked up brakes. If you can't even move the car while in neutral is more likely to be the latter than the former.

Moved to the lounge since this has nothing to do with mustang tech.
