ew ricers
so im driving down a main busy road today when all of a sudden a prelude with a major bodykit and annoying exhaust comes by me on my driver side. all of a sudden he starts dropping gears and then WOT, doing it a couple times.i look at them, 2 white guys, with sideways ballcaps on and i saw 2 fire extinguishers as well lol and his plates read "driftn",made me think paul walker but anyways back to my story. at the light , i gave him a rev of the blow thru valve that even scared me and then the passenger gave me a thumbs down ''WTF''.i started lol'ing at him and told him" we both know you wont come close right", then they made left turn at the next light. I WAS FURIOUS with that thumbs down especially from "one of them" i kept my fingers crossed for him to get on the freeway but no luck=(

I got reved at today by a v6 Mustang. People make me laugh, lol.
|
Lol a CRX tried to get me to run at a light in my dad's cobra. I laughed and told him I wasn't gonna race a car that mexican's won't even pimp out.
|
I've only been revved once (while I've owned the Mach), and it was by a newer 2007-ish Honda Accord...I'm no street racer, but I laughed and drove home. lol.
|
Crazyness. I get reved by trucks all the time.... kinda pisses me off lol. then a 5.0 reved me i rolled down my window and he said nice car too bad its a six and took off.....
|
Haha I saw 3 ricers at fastrip the other night while driving my moms car so I decided I needed to come down and get some gas in the Mach. I had my cut outs open so my car was RIDICULOUSLY loud, it echoes off every single building downtown. All they say when I get out of the car is "Is that the 3.8 in that?" I just laughed and said no.

i actually never really get revved at. this town is not really performance central. and the lack of shops and stuff proves it. |
i love riding in my buddy's camaro with him when ricers do this shit. he is a bigger guy with major sideburns and a goatee. and if you looked at him, you would think, REDNECK.
when ricers do that and theyre windows are down, he will start to speak in his extreme southern redneck accent. the ricers usually just turn or stay way behind. its quite funny |

I always get stared down by the ricer kids. Not too long ago the hubby and I were in traffic waiting to get into CityWalk Orlando to see a movie and a ZR1 next to me started revving up at me so I played back and he gave me thumbs up. Then of course all the ricer kids all around us have to chip in with their pissed off bumblebees and the ZR1 guy just started cracking up and shaking his head. It made me feel pretty good that he was impressed with my, ahem, v6 exhaust. :) |
I have another story except not exactly a ricer. I had just parked at walmart and I park at the end of the parking lot where there's no car even close to mine. I was out by my car talking to some friends and a foxbody pulls up and circles my car. He then drives half way across the parking lot and sits and revs at me, so I got back in my car opened my cutouts and gave him a rev. He starts doing burnouts and then drives off slow like he wants me to follow...I'm like what fuck is this dudes deal, if you're in a fucking mustang you don't drive around and rev trying to pick races against other mustangs, especially a new edge Mach 1 like mine.

Hmm interesting. I'll occasionally rev my car at another mustang as a greeting and sign of respect when I see a clean looking mustang that you can tell the owner is a fellow enthusiest, not as a challenge. But I guess that's just me.

That makes sense if you're in traffic or something where you couldn't stop and talk for a bit.

If I want to give a 'sign of respect' to another driver, I give them the 'metal horns' from the window. That usually does the trick. |
I heard flicking em off was a sign of respect as well.
:p |
I was driving home just now and stopped at a light next to a pretty clean, green civic. I was thought it was neat seeing that he kept his car so clean and respectable...until the light turned green. It had the loudest, most annoying exhaust i've heard on a ricer. It was the definition of a fart can. I pulled up next to the car to see the driver and it was a guy with a girl (who's hair matched the car!). man, it was tragic.
