For those of you who have ever been pulled over, tell us how many times, what for, and did you talk yourself out of it?

Luckily for me, I have never been pulled over =P

I cant talk myself out of anything. Cops here are rediculous.

Crap, before i had my stang i had 11!

It went down like this, on my way to work i pass through a school zone, im usually early to work, and i pass through it at 2:00pm or a little earlier.
This particular time i was on my way to work, i was running about 10 minuits late, but i had plenty of time to get to work. I was going 49 in a 40, diddnt see the Schoolzone lights on. The schoolzone lights turn on at 2:08pm.

So i was pretty conditioned to cruise with traffic through the area, i never emember seeing those lights on cause i always get through right before.

Im driving, lookin over to the side, at the cops, sittin there gunnin me, figuring i was ok.

BAM! 6 point ticket, they let me talk it down to a 5pt in court, no lower because i had a ticket less than a year ago that was knocked down to 1 point.

The icing on the cake? School Zone, plus construction zone, plus 2nd offence in 1 year in that county.
BAM! 1x fine multiplier! Initial ticket
BAM! 2x fine multiplier! 2nd offence
BAM! 3x fine multiplier! School zone
BAM! 4x fine multiplier! Construction zone.

$375 in fines because the judge CUT ME A BREAK. woulda been over 500!

NEXT TICKET,
one my way to work, overpass ahead, sweet! Slow to 30mph, 40mph zone, get under the overpass and GUN IT, get that sweet straightpipe sound echoing. Slow back down AFTER the overpass cause i got thart 5pt ticket 2 months priot, get to top of hill, cop waves me in and gives me a ticket. 49 in a 40.

3rd offence in 1 year. they wont talk it down at all, the DA basically told me to shove it.

BAM 4 point ticket
BAM $255 in fines.

Well when my cavalier was my "car", i got pulled over for my exhaust??? Didnt make any sense! Because the way i got pulled was the confusing part. The cop was in the left turning lane, and i ran into him coming from an exit, then pulled up ahead of him, and stopped at the red light. So how did he hear my exhaust? Its an auto, plus my foot was on the brake not gas. Then He got behind when the light was green, and pulled me over and ............................. you know the rest! I had two cops pull me and ask me ?'s To me i dont know if it was a race issue or what. But I am not a fan of COPS!! Im sorry Cant stand them, whether they are nice or not :angry7: :angry1: :evil3:

1) 16 over in a 45 - warning
2) suspicious activity... ffriends went into an abandoned building - 7 people in my car 2 in the trunk (long story) - warning
3) doing a burnout in front of the school - warning
4) They decided since fireworks arent illegal out of city limits they would pull me over telling me I was literring - warning
5) later that night pulled over by 3 cops - warning

Still ticket free.

had plenty of close calls, but never been pulled over. Probably would of one night, but took so long turning around wasnt able to catch up.

84 in a 55

State popo pulls me over, comes up ask why im in such a hurry. Tell him im just going to work. He asked for license and reg. pulled out my leather holder for it and gave it to him. Took it back to his car 2 min later comes up hands my stuff back to me and says "drive slower and have a good night at work, I know the beach can be crazy for you all down there. and by the way man, nice mustang and the open exhaust is killer, have a good night" cops love domestics here unless you are just a crazy driver. So i was let off on this one.



When i had my focus i would drift in it down at the beach on our rudy inlet turn around. Well had done it 50+ x's before and this one night i happen to clip my tire on the curb, poped up hit the guard rail, damage to the side of my car and broke both right rims, and was stuck. Several people ran over, one guy said if you have alcohol or weed in there i will take it before the cops get here. Pot head, crazy guy, and no i did not have any of that stuff. Well cop gets there ask what went on, said the lights are out its dark out and i hit the curb and poped up. No skid marks no evidence of speeding, however he has to give me a reckless driving ticket. Get to court judge asked the cop was he speeding, cop says i saw no evidence of it, just hit the curb i guess. Judge says well we will just give you improper driving and 200 bucks later im good. court fees are like 65.00 and ticket was 135.00

Been driving for 22 years almost. Let's see, how many tickets.....

Probably about 6 or seven in total. 4 for speeding, one I can remember for an illegal turn, and one for a stop sign which is the most recent (three years ago).

My speeding tickets have been for everything from 6 mph over to about 20 mph...nothing major. The chicken-poop ticket for 6 mph over was right after they raised the speed limit in PA from 55 to 65 and they were really clamping down.

I drive a TON. The last 10 years I average about 40,000 + per year, so I pretty much abide by the law. I know the local roads extremely well, so I speed carefully. For example, I know in my end of the county after a certain time, there is only one trooper on duty late at night. So, if you go past the gas station and see him sitting there, you can be pretty sure the next 10 miles are clear.

The local country roads are cop-free and there are LOTS of those. Impossible to cover for the law. You are speed limited to how fast your car can go around a turn, or your fear of hitting a deer, or comming up on a slow mover too fast afer cresting a hill.

We have lots of 10 mph curves and stuff like that that are fun to take at 30 mph. Besides the winters, this is a great place to have a car like this.

i have never been pulled over for speeding but i have been pulled over for street racing twice....

1st time i was cruising my 95 400hp turbo eclipse at the time in traffic and me and my friend who drives a fully restored 70 fastback (302) decided to run from 40 in a 45. at about 60 mph a cop was on a side road and pulled us both over. we were fortunate to tell the same BS story to the cop and the cop gave us both his name and said he would let us off if we called him if we ever knew of any illegal activity going down.(like im gunna do that).

2nd time in my 03 gt. my friends call me up drunk at 2 pm and need a ride from dennys so me and my friends with a 94 formula cruise down to get them. as we pull out of dennys we want the make the turn at the 4 way stop b4 it turns red so we kind pull out fast but dont go over the speed limit. we make the light and put our cruise on 42 in a 45 and just cruise windows down cause its a real nice nice. well out of nowhere the cops start to swarm us he gets pulled over then i do up the road and told to go back to him. when i get there i see 8 cop cars and 10 cops. when i park i get blocked in by the cars and told to get out of my car. knowing i wasnt speeding i was like wtf. the cops totally harassed us sayin our cars r gunna be undercover cop cars, and that were gunna be nothin in life cause were gettin arrested. and were not gettin accepted into colleges now. after the read us our rights and all that BS they tried to play it off like they were nice cops lettin us off the hook 2 hours later. the cop who spotted us for street racing never said a word to us. And knowing we did nothin the cops never even gave us a warning.

been pulled over 9 time for doing or having stuff wrong. Im a good talker so i have yet to get a ticket. and i have 9 warnings in my room.

Lets see. First 115 in a 55 on interstate 76 in Philadelphia. Told police my speedometer was broke. That only rasied the fine my 50.00 for faulty equipment. No points just a fine total fine 1525.65. Second 85 in a 55 in Lanesborough Mass. told police exceleorator stuck didn't by it 680.00 fine. Got rid of the 89 LX 5.0. Have not had a ticket since. Owned a 1994 GT sold it now I own an 05 GT. Much smarter driver now.

I have had 2 tickets my whole driving career. Both when I was 16 yrs old in 1976. Both for stop sign violations. I've since had a 69 GTO no tickets, 69 Camaro no tickets, 79 Z-28 Camaro no tickets. I drove my Z for 11 years. various other factory cars. no tickets. My last ride before my stang was an 88 GMC truck. 5.7 L V-8, That thing would fly, 1 ticket for tags but got it thrown out. "My stang" LOL I am lucky. 2 weeks a go some dude was riding my ass all the way to an intersection where I work. I turned right on to a long stretch of 4 lane road that my workplace is at. This dude was trying me so I nailed it in 1st and layed some serious black marks in 2nd gear. Right in front of a H.P. going the other way. I Knew I was busted. He must have said " Daaaam" or my he didn't notice. I made it to work and parked my car, got out looking to see him pulling in but it never happened. LOL I got lucky. :icon_pale

BTW I once got caught street racing with my Z-28 with a good freind of mine. Cop let both of us go. And I drove all my vehicles hard, but not crazy hard.

If you drive a fast car, never carry on long discussions over the phone while driving. I Wasn't paying attention... In some hick county in Texas..

BAM! 83 in a 65 (I thought i was going 75)

Had my Stang for 2 days and got pulled over for speeding. After I stopped, the cop stayed in his car forever so I was wondering what the hell was going on. He comes up and asks me for license and asks if the car is mine. I said yes sir I just got it a few days ago. He went back to his car and came back about 5 min later. He said the tag does not match the car and my name does not match the registration of this car. I told him I had all the paper work from the dealership so I showed him the tag transfer information. BLANK! The bastards didn't fill it out. They forgot to fill it out, the car was not in my name yet, and the did not transfer my tag from my F150. Basically it looked like I stole the car and put a different tag on it. After about 30 min he let me go with no speeding ticket.

A week later I got busted in the same exact spot for having a headlight already out and pulled over in the same place on the side of the road as last time.

A week later BAM! Cop comes up behind me in the SAME spot but going the other way this time. I play it off and pull into a gas station to get gas. Follows me in there. It was a friend of mind that was about to pull me over for speeding but when he ran the tag he saw it was me. It was funny because when he got out of his car I started yelling at him asking why he flew up on my ass like that. You should have seen the people faces at the gas station HAHA. Oh and he said the exhaust sounds damn good from behind. I don't speed there anymore but I still speed everywhere else.
