Hi all

I had a 2004 mustang gt vert

I basically downgraded but found a deal i couldnt pass up.

Just put a deposit down on a 1998 Mustang gt
Stock
35,000 miles
5 speed

if anyone has items laying around or for sale
PM me
I need to mod this thing

Super clean looking 98, I like it a lot. How come it doesn't have leather though? and what are your plans for it?

WNRacing 06-02-2009 08:44 PM

Saleen wheels, Springs and tint STAT! Man, part of me really misses my '98. They can be really clean little cars, just require more work to make fast. Great looking car!

PColav6 06-02-2009 08:52 PM

So you got rid of the 04 mustang why? lol

Pilks 06-02-2009 08:54 PM

04 was an automatic
sold it last sept.

this is my first 5 speed

no plans as of yet, id love a nice set of rims and tires, but if i start ill prob just go nuts buying stuff

PColav6 06-02-2009 08:57 PM

You sold your car because it was an auto? Wtf

x04V6x 06-02-2009 09:46 PM

I personally would rather have the 98 5 speed over the 04 auto vert.

How do you like driving a standard? My Mach is my first 5 speed too, it's a whole different experience.

i hate those taillights on s195's. smoke 'em and you'll have a really clean Gt. awesome purchase, btw!

SPiNz 06-03-2009 05:12 AM

so let me get this right...

you sold a very nice clean looking 04 GT... to get into a 98 GT with a rolled back odometer... just because the 98 was a 5speed?

you DO know that they made 2002-2004 manual also right.

1999-2001 also had manuals. Come to think of it, 2005-2010 has a manual as well. Oh and pre 1998 had manuals as well.

I like how you automatically assume that it has a rolled back odometer. Some people just don't put a lot of mileage on their vehicles. I'm one of them.. I drive about 3 miles per day, so my weekly average is around 15 miles. Multiply that by the number of weeks in a year, and I only put about 800 miles on my car annually. Granted, there are times when I take road trips, etc., but those aren't the norm.

WOW, I really hope that Mach has a HD aftermarket clutch.. lol

First standard car is a car with 300+ RWHP. Certainly "different." :p

Haha yeah it does, I've got the hang of it pretty fast though. I'm not hard on the clutch at all now.

LOL. That's why I was debating whether or not to even try to buy that whippled GT I posted a while ago. My first stick car would have 450rwhp :p

Driving a stick is really not that hard whether it's a 150hp car or 500hp. It's the clutch that may cause a bit of an issue, but as long as you don't dump the thing, you'll be fine.

Your old one looked great. Can't wait to see what you do with this one.

TUFF 4.6 06-03-2009 02:58 PM

SN95, guy.

welcome to my world! the first thing you want to do is springs, PI heads/intake manifold, and wheels.

Mr. Zip 06-03-2009 04:02 PM
