I need some ideas...

So this saturday will be a year that I've been with my girlfriend. I want to do something with her, but I have no ideas what. I know that I'm going to take her out to dinner at a vegetarian restaurant in downtown orlando since she doesn't eat meat. I can't come up with any other ideas, though. I don't want to do gifts, so I'd rather just take her out somewhere to do something. I figure since a lot of you are in the orlando area you could throw out some ideas.

Go somewhere and get a nice hotel for the night. My wifes and my 1 year wedding anniversary is coming up this weekend and we are taking a trip down to Carmel for a night. Damn hotel is costing me like $450 for the night. It's pretty kick ass though.

PistonsFan102 04-16-2009 11:02 AM

My advice...

1) post pics of gf
2) go wherever you want to eat and she can have a salad
3) i think we all know what #3 should be : )

Black Sunshine 04-16-2009 11:54 AM

Congratulations, Ryan! :)

What kinds of things does she like to do? If you have the money, you could take her to someplace that she likes either before or after dinner, depending on what time you eat. Try to take her somewhere she'd like to go that you normally wouldn't bother with, just to surprise her.

I think you should get her a little something, maybe a little teddy bear or something like that. Us girls are sentimental and we like keepsakes. She'll keep that and think 'awww, Ryan got me this on our first anniversary'.

I don't know much about Orlando besides Universal and City Walk... And Bithlo recently, but I'm sure she doesn't want to go drag racing.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll come up with something good!

Lazerred6 04-16-2009 12:05 PM

Me and my wifes 1 year is may 16th........

that's also the first autocross of the season.......

I will be racing:cool:

NeedACobra 04-16-2009 12:05 PM

Dude. Take her out for sushi, force her to eat it, and then she'll realize the being a vegetarian is ridiculous and a pain in the ass for other people that are not, like a family for example....mommys gotta cook two dinners for thanksgiving? bah!

But hey, thats just me ranting from experience. Dont mind me. Take her to the olive garden. Endless breadsticks......ahh.

BoostedMKIV 04-16-2009 12:09 PM

Take her to Disneyworld.

Naw, seriously though....take her somewhere nice and vegetarian for dinner....then afterwards you can show her how to eat meat for dessert.
:p

You really shouldn't encourage baby eating on a public forum. :p

Me and My girl's 7 year anniversary is tomorrow. I got her a few gifts, card, were going to go to a movie and eat someplace, same as always. The coilovers that she got me just arrived about 30 minutes ago.

I would but I have roots here now and I like Michigan for about half the year

engineman312 04-16-2009 12:58 PM

why a vegitarian resturant? plenty of italin places serve plates without meat. also, you can get her a gift certificate to the place she gets her nails done. i get that for my girl on our anniversry. i actually give it to her a few days before, because i know she likes to get dolled up when we go out.

Do you know Sturgis, MI? I used to visit my dad (before he passed) there for a little while when he lived on a bus at the airport there because he was a professional skydiver and pilot. I have been skydiving over Michigan.

Switch, Does she like game places at all? Like John said, maybe Dave & Busters? I always have a blast there. Horseback Riding? (before dinner of course) Go Karts? Just throwing some things out there!

sand1303 04-16-2009 03:06 PM

Take her to see fast and furious

LilMissLayla 04-16-2009 04:50 PM

I see X-men or some form of comic book movie on my bday weekend every year for my husband. Yeah, I enjoy them... but not as big of a fanatic as he is! Looks like it's Wolverine this year.
