the headlights are absolutely horrible. They've got so much foggy nasty stuff on em, it's so bad. I'm goin to try wet sanding and polishing them tomorrow. I hope it works. I figure 600 1000 2000 grit sandpaper and plast-x will work?

600 is pretty agressive, but as long as you follow it up with the other two it will probably be ok.. I started with 800. Make sure you've got nice warm soapy water and keep the housings saturated the whole time.

Also, I don't know if you do, but if you have access to a buffer like a porter cable you'll want to use it to polish them out, otherwise you'll be polishing for a while.. lol

Used that when I did mine before I put them up in my 'stock shit' box and got clear corners.
The Plastix makes all the difference.

Thanks for the link. I didn't see that before.

I do have a buffer, but it's a shitty one, WNRacing.

Some people use blue magic metal polish but alot of the mustangs seem to have the coat chip off them

Be sure that once you get them fixed/restored, you don't let this happen again. Protect them with a headlight cover/covering to make sure that you don't have to repeat this process soon.
