F***ing Thieves

So I get a call from Wells Fargo yesterday saying to give them a call cause they want to verify some transactions. Apparently some worthless fuckhead tried charging $800 at a Best Buy in New York with my account. That charge was declined, but they also charged $200 at a Foot Locker in New Jersey that went through. So no I have to fill out a stupid claims form and send it in to get my money refunded back and wait on a new card. The only bright side is, the fact they did it yesterday and not today when I would have much more money in my account.

It's one thing during these hard times for people to be stealing money to buy food or whatever, but try and spend $800 at freakin Best Buy and then $200 at Foot Locker, give me a break. Worthless sacks of shit.

I'm in the process of getting a charge refunded from a website that I had never visited good thing it was only $4.75 but it's still F*****G annoying

There's no doubt in my mind.

cause not every black person is a thug or a ni*ger, but the word ni*ger offends pretty much every black person when a white guy like me says it...so I dont use the word.

JackThe Ripper 03-06-2009 02:11 PM

Good think wells fargo decided to ask you about it... some banks would just say too bad, so sad.

SxyXc 03-06-2009 05:10 PM

yea, my old bank did not inform me when my card number was stolen and gas was bought bringing me into overcharge fees until i got my statement, and showed it to them...
and sorry about you man...

NeedACobra 03-06-2009 06:09 PM

when you live down south.....you say n***er all the time.
but I never say that to my black friends. Thats just mean and wrong.

Good Think? WTF is that Jack haha...k isn't close to g...so dont' blame it on a typo.

But I agree with Jack.. that's awesome that Wells Fargo helped you out. I've actually had Capital One decline some charges that I tried to make because they thought they were fraud.

SnTBakosFinest 03-06-2009 09:00 PM

i had someone do that on my account.. except the transactions were online..for like..500 bucks worth a porn..

I mean..what the hell..500 worth of porn?

I walked into my WaMu, told them what was up, boom, refunded within a day. And what in the fuck ever happened to using a ID along with the card? Someone might have your name ect dude..

jjtgiants 03-06-2009 10:15 PM

ah man I'm sorry to here that. I also bank at wells fargo and had the same exact thing happen to me twice within a 6 month period. One time someone made a large purchase at an autozone in la, then 6 month later someone was making ATM withdraws at san diego ATMs. Wells Fargo took care of them, but it sucked.

I'm assuming someone got my account and such and was making fake cards. Because of something with work I have credit monitoring for a year so nothing has come up or anything, but we'll see. It's just annoying.

woh so did i last week for 4.81 at some place called cheapthemes.com or some shit

jjtgiants 03-07-2009 08:48 PM

also pay attention to what gas stations you use your card at. When it happened to me it was either an inside job or the gas station I was using.

GDP 03-09-2009 04:43 AM

actaully its more likely they are buying these things then going to refund them for cash. At least thats what im thinking, makes sense.

Holy fuck thats the place that got me too

it was cheapthemes.com

I have a credit card through bank of america and thats the account it got me on but I called and said the charge was fraud and they gave me my money back and it was 4.81 not 4.75

Black Sunshine 03-09-2009 08:13 AM

Damn shitstains. You never see anyone stealing anyone's account information to buy something they need instead of something they want. You'd think they'd be more concerned with having food on the table, a roof over their head, and clothes on their back than with $800 worth of electronics and $200 worth of shoes.

spike_africa 03-09-2009 08:20 AM

I had this happen to me back in 2005 or 2006. Some one spent $2,800 on food or something in India with my credit card. My bank called me and asked me if I did this cause it was very unusual for my spending habbits. I said no and that I have never been there, and the bank of american said no problem we will handle this and that was that. One month later the chargers were gone and I was good to go.

Scary, but very common. I don't use any credit card numbers online, and even calling a company and giving it on the phone is bad enough. I used to have a punk kid living next door that worked for a hotel chain. He would use guests card numbers for pizza, beer, etc., and have it delivered right to the hotel lobby. Granted its not a $3000 TV or something, but it could be just as easily.
