When did AM.com start selling those shiney Chin spoilers?
One of you said to me that I hope you don't get the shiny chin spoiler, and I just noticed what you are talking about. When the hell did that start to happen?

Like a year ago.
Yeah I'd say about a year or so ago too. They look cheap in my opinion. I like it matching the texture and color of the mach delete much much better, not mix-matched.
Yes, but there are some benefits. I had the standard Ford OEM chin spoiler on my old 95' and it was much more easily marred than my new AM chin spoiler. The AM chin is built much better, being thicker where it counts 0_^
They are the same basic dimensions otherwise, but I believe the AM one is less likely to flex down in the middle as some mach 1 ones had. It should also be mentioned that the hardware that comes with the AM kit is 100% overkill and I love it. They are the kind of bolts I would hope to keep my house standing. The 'gloss' is not that noticable, and I think it adds a finished touch to the chin. But, I do see what you mean, it would be nice to match, maybe I will gloss up my delete a bit... Compare and contrast my old car and new. http://photos-b.ak.facebook.com/phot...47425_9669.jpg http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/4...g0022tqoj6.jpg |
I only see the new car.
Me too...
Same, but really..if you put mother's back to black on your OEM chin (which I think most of us do) that just makes it look like AM's chin anyway, so who cares. lol.
I re-hosted it, should work now.
The shiny one looks gay IMO. From the pictures it looks like reflective or something.
Im the one that said it. I've seen the new AM ones in person and I don't like them at all. Looks like a piece of plastic.
I do use Mothers Back to Black on mine, and it looks NOTHING like the AM one. It matches the grille delete. |
Personally i dont really care for it it looks like someone put clear over it.
yep I'm glad i got mine a while ago
