Wyotech?
Has anyone on here attended Wyotech or a similar school? I have grades to get into just about any school but i really love working on cars more than anything.
Or does anyone have any other opinions on what i should do in terms of college? |
my buddy went to a similar college. he's now a mechanic at a crappy auto store, making crap money, living in a crap apartment, in a crap part of town. I dunno man, you got the grades, now go to college and get rich.

Thats what i have been thinking on. My biggest fear is that i would end up stuck in a autostore or something. Wyotech seems to have really good job placement though.
Do you know the name of the school he went to? |
Hey man, don't be dissing on my school. I'm headed there in January. Knowing a few people that have come out of the Laramie campus, one is a chassis engineer for Furniture Row Racing's Sprint Cup Team based out of South Denver, Colorado and another runs one of the top late-model and touring teams in the Whelen series and ASALMS.

Dont work on cars for a living find a diffrent career. Working on cars everyday kills your passion. The money isnt that good and most auto shops are flat rate which is a terrible way to make a paycheck some of the time.
|
The only way it will ever be good is if you get a shot with a race team. Whether it be nascar, nhra etc. What sucks is thats never guarenteed. If you go to college at least you know where you are going.

Ya i talked to my parents and they told me that unless i go to college first they wont pay the half they promised so i guess college it is. And then when i get out of college i can go there and have somethign to fall back on!
