FEET TOO BIG?

Just bought a pair of Lugz Strutts size 11.
Got into my '04 GT 5 speed and suddenlly discovered that my new shoes don't fit into the
pedal area!
Had to clutch and brake with the tips of my toes!
Now I never thought that I had big feet and I know that these shoes have a boxy toe but
has any one out there ever experienced a problem driving their stang just because of the kind of shoes your wearing?
Strange !!!

i always wear boots, and i have to drive with my toes in my car, but in the truck i have plenty of room

PColav6 08-28-2008 09:57 PM

Once they break in it'll be better..lol

Any kind of stiff shoe sucks for driving.

Leonide 08-29-2008 02:12 AM

barefoot driving ftw... :)

Black Sunshine 08-29-2008 05:43 AM

^ I second that.

Try driving with 3 1/2" heels on!

SLP02GT 08-29-2008 09:23 AM

I don't have that problem; but my legs are do damn long haha...I'm 6' 2" and my damn knee turns my left turnsignal off when im making a turn and push the clutch in for a downshift

Steeda97 08-29-2008 11:34 AM

Ha. I usually drive shoeless. Especially at the track.

You hippy bastard

I can't drive without shoes, I hate the way the pedal is molded...that arch pisses me off.

Steeda97 08-29-2008 12:22 PM

Jealous.

Shoes make a big difference. Pumas are good driving shoes, any running shoe. When I AutoX I just use some thin-soled running shoes. Can't do much down there with my boots.

JackThe Ripper 08-29-2008 03:20 PM

feet arent too big...

it hurts something aweful though when my weiner ends up laying behind the brake pedal and i gotta stop suddenly...

WOW!!! I'd bet that you could drive circles around me in your SPOOK!
Think I'll pass on the 3 1/2" heels though...I'm a guy.
My little sister jumped into my stang when I just got it and went wild...scared me to death!
She had on 4" heels!

King 08-29-2008 10:49 PM

Don't whine about feet being too big, I drive in 15w newbalance and drive fine.

...pansy

lol

rebelyell 08-29-2008 11:01 PM

I wear 11.5 extra wide work boots, but never drive my stang with them. I can wear my 11.0 EE reebocks without a problem though. Big feet + big hands = ;). I ain't complaining here, neither is my wife.. :p

never been to an NHRA sanctioned track that allows people to drive while not wearing shoes. hell, most tracks even tell you nothing with an open toe. come to think of it, even the road courses ive been to required closed toed shoes.

King 08-29-2008 11:55 PM

It is illegal in the state of Colorado to drive shoeless. <--Fact. I've even heard of fines for people doing it at the racetrack.

The last time I had 3/12 heels on I fell off them.
