Doesnt really say what it does and how it does it. Just that it works so "BUY ME"

Steeda97 08-19-2008 07:06 AM

I agree with Venom.

it's a scam. don't be suckered. Plain and simple if you've ever taken chemistry you know that the things that the manufacturer says this thing does are impossible at room temperature. Aside from that the heavy metal pellets act as a nice filter and they do bond to some specific contaminants but there's no way to give the fuel a long enough soak with enough surface area from the pellets available to do any good.

If you want to improve your mileage, drive slower. If you want to clean your fuel system spend the 6 bucks and get a can of fuel system cleaner.

EDIT() {
forgot to mention, a fool and his money is how a really appropriate cliché starts. Also noticed that they tout statistically insignificant gains as being definitely a result of using their device. Wow... great. Glad it does fukkin NOTHING!

Seafoam? lol.

r3dn3ck 08-19-2008 09:22 AM

seafoam does some things well. It's a helluva cleaner.

Steeda97 08-19-2008 09:23 AM

Really. lol. Be serious. Does it?

PColav6 08-19-2008 09:51 AM

Sea foam didn't do anything for me, then again maybe it was because internals of my car are incredibly clean.

...which I don't think they are.

Steeda97 08-19-2008 09:53 AM

Did they foul up your plugs?

PColav6 08-19-2008 10:04 AM

No

PureStang 08-19-2008 10:34 AM

then the seafoam worked pcola...also how much did yo put in?

r3dn3ck 08-19-2008 10:47 AM

seafoam is made of pale oil (carrier for other ingredients and lubricant) naphtha (basically lighter fluid) and alcohol. It's a really good de-gummer-upper and solvates most hydrocarbon fuels and oils on contact. I don't know what the hell you're expecting from a it but I'd imagine it did what it's designed to do and not a damned thing else. It's a cleaner... not a performance mod.

Lazerred6 08-19-2008 11:28 AM

dirty engine + seafoam = clean

Sorry to bring an old thread back from the dead but I want to reiterate my approval of seafoam

long story short car was being bitchy and did not want to start on cold mornings and idle was a little rough

used seafoad 1/2 in oil 1/2 in gas tank drove 11 miles idled perfect after that. I left the car till this morning and it started instantly

Steeda97 10-20-2008 03:45 PM

so its settled. seafoam ftw.

modularmustang 10-20-2008 06:37 PM

plus, if you go to different gas stations, one gas station may have extra octane than another gas station. which would mean that if you have to much octane, over time it cane be bad for the motor, etc etc.

just a thought
