sarge is a moderator on ls1.com. works in the oil industry and is very reputable. basically you add 1oz/5 gal of gas of 2 cycle oil that is NMMA TC-W3® rated. has turned out some pretty good results. i'll be doing this in both cars.

Sounds interesting. The guy seems to know his shit and might be something worth trying out.

HokieStang00 07-25-2008 01:20 PM

Hmm. The MPG's aren't really that interesting to me...seeing as how I might gain 10-15 miles to a tank. But the cleaning of the plugs and rings etc... I think it would be worth it just to have a cleaner and smoother running engine. I think I'll start in the test fleet sometime this weekend.

v6'stang 07-26-2008 07:29 AM

yea someone lemme know how this works out! i'm too chicken to try it in my own vehicle...lol.

gotMACH04 07-26-2008 12:11 PM

might be something i try on the ranger first...

makes sense to me. 2 stroke oil is designed to be burned and most 2 stroke engines have to take some serious abuse and high revving. It sounds like the MPG benefit isn't that much, but supposedly it keeps the engine clean and lubed up. I'll be trying this as well, using my dads 2 Rangers as test mules. If anybody else actually does this please post back up and let us know how it works

Its cool stuff for sure. I found it very interesting so I shared. I am trying it on the g/f focus which idles ruff for no reason at all. I just added the oil on this last tank so I will see what happens. They say give it 2 or 3 tanks before you see good changes in how the motor runs. We will see.

SnTBakosFinest 07-27-2008 07:54 PM

sounds interesting i might be trying this out next time i get ready to fill up..

For a short time I was using some Lucas stuff...but kinda forgot about it..

In all reality... it sounds like it would be a good thing to do from the first time the motor turns over till it dies... if the chemistry is right

Nofire 07-30-2008 12:58 PM

I'll give it a shot for a few months...

Steeda97 07-30-2008 03:15 PM

So fill up the tank, add ~3 ounces?

from what i read, you would put 3 ounces the first time on a full tank, then 1 oz to every 5 gallons to maintain the ratio

01FR500 07-30-2008 07:14 PM

I went and bought some of the suggested oil, now I just have to work up the guts to pour it in.

word that was the hard part for me too.

I've had it in my tank for almost a week now, haven't really noticed anything yet. I will be keeping track though for the next couple of tanks.

spike_africa 07-31-2008 08:21 AM

Its 2 stroke oil it wont hurt it, its ment to be burned. Just add it being sure to fallow the correct ratio and see what happens. The focus gets such good mileage that It still hasnt eaten that first tank up yet.

00gt_conv 08-07-2008 03:37 PM

any results yet?

SnTBakosFinest 08-07-2008 10:23 PM

Nope, filled up last week, still have a half tank... however, no noticeable difference being bad.

spike_africa 08-08-2008 07:24 AM

Focus still runs the same after 2 tanks. They said it will take 3 tanks to see effects.

00gt_conv 08-08-2008 10:39 AM

Anyone ever try adding acetone to their tank? I've heard good things about that, but just dont have balls for it.

r3dn3ck 08-09-2008 10:55 AM

don't.

GDP 08-09-2008 02:30 PM

This kinda sounds like seafoam to me.

gotMACH04 08-27-2008 03:30 PM

any updates?

spike_africa 08-27-2008 04:40 PM

I used it for 6 tanks on the focus, it still idles ruff and nothing has changed. Don't bother with it didn't do anything for us.

01FR500 08-27-2008 05:41 PM

I've done two full tanks so far, I haven't noticed anything. I will finish out the bottle of oil I got though.

engineman312 08-27-2008 06:35 PM

just got a new car. may try this out on the first few tanks.
