Default Car Jack?

I know this might sound like the stupidest question, but do mustangs have a car jack, and if so, where is it located.

I want to take the tires off this weekend and clean them and paint the calipers, but i need a jack, and im not sure if the mustang has one?

I did the same with my wheels last week. But I used my cheapo floor jack and put it right under the bottom of the shock. 2 pumps and the tire was cleared from the ground. I wish i had a garage with a lift though, It would be very nice to get at the underside of my car and do stuff..

Not IF but WHEN i hit the Power Ball Im planning on having a couple lifts in all my garages. I want to be able to park 4 cars in (generally speaking) the same space as you would put 2. Then I would still have the benifits of a lift when I need it! LOL

Now.... about that Power Ball ticket!..........

Indeed, there is a jack on top of your spare tire. I do NOT SUGGEST you use this jack for anything other than an emergency roadside wheel swap. It is unsafe to use and does not come with any jack stands. Invest a little money in a floor jack with jack stands, better safe than sorry. I could throw a could horror stories in here but they are not safe for your peace of mind. Use a quality jack and jack stands every time!!

Yeap be careful when using that jack. If the car were to move fowards or backwards even side to side it may come on top of you. The jack is stationary so if there is any movement it may bend. I would go to Walmart or local auto part and buy at least some jack stands and blocks or any bricks laying around your home to prevent the car from moving while you are lifting it.

Theres a reason jacks have wheels and its to move with the vehicle and prevent the jack from binding as your car does move when its being lifted. Most important thing to do is make sure floor is level and you dont go under the car or have any parts of your body plus legs and arms under the car or wheels. If you want to see what could happen see Faces of Death and the junk yard scence with a match between a brake rotor and some poor guys leg.
