Hows your relationship with your Wife's or Girlfriend's Parents?
 

Mine is Pretty Crappy, well somewhat.
The Mom- she likes me but can be a....yeah.
The Dad- Prick.

i guess im just looking for advice.

date a girl thats 18 or older so she can tell her parents to STFU. or you dont have do deal with them.

Mom loves me but she's very annoying

Pretty good. THey got me into the union..

Her dads my teacher..her mom is on the board that examines tests for journeymen..

And they are both journeymen electricians..so they're my boss.

Mom gives me big hugs when I see her, and makes me cookies 8)

Dad..eh...hes a guy its "hey whats up"

Yes because I'm not ready to tie the knot..they are starting to push marriage on me more and more these past couple of months...I've been dating my girl for like 6 yrs now but geezzz..I'll know when I'm ready.:mad:

My wife and I were together 6 yrs before we tied the knot. I feel ya...no rush.

My mother in law treats me like a her own son. My father in law died in 1997 unexpectedly.. He was my fishing buddy.. I haven't enjoyed fishing since, actually quit fishing altogether. He was like the the father I never had.. (my dad was overseas most of my childhood, he died in 1982). I call my mother in law Mom, just like I do my mother.. I got lucky with my wifes family.. We actually go on vacations with my brother in law and his wife and kids, and actually have a good time for a whole week.. :)

Same here.My Father in Law passed away a few years ago and my Mother in Law is like a mother to me too.My real Mom passed away in 1986 and I have'nt seen my so called Dad since I was 13 so I'm real close to all my Wifes side of the Family.

My fiance's parents and me get along great in fact I like her family almost as much as I like mine. I like her family way more than I like my dads side it's not that his side has bad people or anything they are just crazy prudes. :(

but in all seriousness...they have an impression of you the moment they meet you...i was lucky that my ex (one and only true relationship) parents were nice to me and her dad and i had a lot in common. i lucked out.

My girl's Mom is the coolest. Her Dad however is a druggie/crazy and we don't have anything to do with him, her Stepdad is an alcoholic and is annoying as hell, we don't have much to do with him either except right now her Mom is going through a divorce with him. Have a really good relationship with the Mom though, and her little brother.

I dont have one so im good to go.

I go on vacations,dinners, parties etc with my inlaws all the time. Inlaws are very important and you should try and establish a relationship like they were your parents as they will help when you need it.

My parenst love my wife, my wife loves my parents.

My wifes father died when she was young and her mother never remarried, so i dont know him but i like to think i would get along with him.

My wifes mother on the other hand.... I guess i like her allright, but she has issues. She is unemployed (normally) and thinks she haas healing hands and is a unknown key religious figurehead and for this reason she believes the goverment put a chip in her dentures to monitor her conversations, she thinks that any Hum-V or H2 is a government vehicle spying on her, same with helicopters.

Fortunatly i missed it, but one time when logan was in the hospital before his heart surgery she was there with my wife and she put her "healing" hands on logan and started shaking and wailing on about the power of christ. Embarassed the shit out of my wife.

All in all she is harmless, and not a BAD person, but she tends to stick her nose in other peoples business and has some really strange delusions of grandur.

I get along great with my fiances parents and family and vice versa. Never had any problems from day one.
