Fox or SN95

i know i want an older mustang and i wanna get rid of my 01 v6....which should i get for a daily driver. of course ide mod it up a little. bolt ons and junk like that. maybe a few months in a turbo or sc maybe..anyways. which one?

StreetRacer 02-11-2008 10:58 PM

turbo or supercharger is quite a bit of money...i dont know if its ever "a few months in"...if those are your only 2 choices i'd go with the sn95 cause its a bit younger and probably more reliable...if i were you and wanted to go old school on a mustang i'd go find a 69 fastback and make it a project car

im just lookin for kinda of a engine thing. not much for the restoration bits. not good with rust or bondo if u know what i mean. just want somethin i can fly down the street every day and end up at a track by night. couple of bolt ons, maybe a cam then a sc...or somethin. dont get me wrong the second a 69 fast back or somethin like a 71 in decent condition comes up ill get it and make an elenor or a mach 1 outa it or somethin.

you need a 67/68 fastback to make an elenor.

not if hes making an original eleanor from the original gone in 6o

Fox bodies have rust issues around the botton of the doors and rear quarter panel area. SN95s have a better ride and interior will last longer than the fox.

There is alot of nice SN95's out there for sale and in good shape. Its like venom said, no body likes rust not even a bodyman. A good sound body is a must have for any project unless you know a good bodyman that works for beer. If you need it as a DD go with the newer stuff and make payments. Aint that the American Way?:t:

i'd love to get an sn with a 5.0. i thought about doing that and keeping the new edge as a nicer car and the sn as a drag car. but the snow here kills that idea.

officer4c13 02-12-2008 05:12 PM

i have a fox and it is one of my DD and i would say go with the sn95. dont get me rong i love my fox but the ride is not that graet and with the older cars come more problems.

StreetRacer 02-12-2008 06:13 PM

the sn95 only had a 5.0 for one year right? was it 1995? or 94?

2 years i think, 94-95 cause we got the non PI 4.6 in 96 and the sn95 started in 94.

Dream 02-12-2008 06:48 PM
