Mini Stock is gone

Well, the Mustang Mini Stock was sold today to make more room and more financial capital for the 944 race car. First up is a 2006 Kaufman trailer which I go to pick up next Saturday.

My friend races one, he was kinda the one that pushed me to get one. Near 50/50 weight distribution. Not a lot of power, but with the exceptional handling, should be a lot of fun. Here is his car:

NA...I had the opportunity to buy a an '86 Turbo with some high tech mods for $3,000 but turned it down since the NA cars are more reliable to race, there are more of them to race with and the parts are cheaper in the 944cup class versus the 944 Super Cup class (where the Turbo would have ran).

BTW, this WILL be the last race car I buy/build....I have a long term goal of running at Daytona in 2009. Would've tried to race there this year, but I don't have enough qualifications this year to do it. Next year we will be set if I get this thing done ASAP.
Daytona is a track that has eluded me for my entire 15 year race career. ;)
