...Speaking of GT leather steats..

I just got a nice audio install done on my GT and I'm extremely happy with it. I'll post pics later in the pics forum.
Anyway, somehow during the process, some black spraypaint from my amp (we spraypainted my amp black) rubbed off on my leater seat in the back.
Is there anything i can put on this to get the paint off or have i just ruined the seats?

someone, anyone help please, my car used to be almost flawless!! :crybaby2:

Mothers leather cleaner

Trip139 05-28-2005 10:27 PM

Alright, well I went to Wal-mart and bought Armor-all brand leather care. It mildy helped, but there is still some paint left in the little cracks in the fine texture of the leather. They didn't have Mother's cleaner there.
Is Mothers much better than armor-all or meguiars? or do i have a lost cause on my hands?

Where I work at we make leather seat covers and use mothers all the time. We never had to use it to get paint off,but seems to get everything else off. before youbuy the mothers try a little bit of rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip and see if that gets it off.

You might try goof off. I have never used it on leather, but on about everything else. I would try it in an area that you can't just to make sure. The stuff will take paint/sticky stuff off of about anything!!

JUST MAKE SURE TO TEST IT FIRST!!

well i finally got so pissed off this morning that i got in the mindset that i was gonna get that mutha fn paint off no matter what. so I went and bought a bottle of mineral spirits paint thinner and put it on a napkin and dabbed it off. then i quickly went over it with some meguiars leather care and now i think i'm good as new.

(until two weeks from now when that spot in the leather probably rots away :p)
