Kill an Evo by revving yer engine
Anyone heared of this?
My buddy apparently found out about this on Dodgeboy.net but i havent been able to find any info on the ricer forums or confirm this myself. Apparently, there are a bunch of Mitsubishi EVO's out there with a design flaw. It has to do with a sensor in the EVO that can be responsive to rattles or loud noises and such. Apparently it works like this, You pull up to an EVO, and if you have loudmouth or straights you can rev yer engine real loud and if the EVO was one of the ones with the design flaw, it will stall/shutdown his engine. Anyone heared of this? or can shed any light onto this? My buddy said he found a thread where an EVO owner was complaining cause anytime a chopper, deisel, or car with LOUD exhaust would drive by his engine would shut down. personally, i really hope it is true. <laugh> I've got straightpipes and my stang is freakin loud. I'd love to pull up next to an EVO and rev my engine and shut his down. That way i could get a head start and maybe win the race. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH |
Never heard of it, too funny if its true.

Some evo owners found this out when they were @ the track and they would pull up next to dumped/camming stangs and when they would do their burnouts the evo's would die....! Hahahahahah...can you say owned!

I dont believe it.....

Somone oughtta go undercover to an EVO forum and post a question, see what the evo owners say about it. If they say it happen's, then i believe it.
