So I sold my old muffler and bought a new one...but I had to ship the old one out, and I'm waiting for the new one. In the mean time, I'm running muffler less. Listen to this...

Jon, that actually sounds pretty good. What does it sound like with the Muffs in place?

at idle it actually sounds awesome, but as soon as you give it gas it gets way too high pitched for my preference, but not quite ricey. Overall it sounds pretty good. I bet it sounds great with a good muffler, what are you installing?

this is the muffler i'm getting...its angled ricer style..but i like it
it will end up looking somethin like this

hey john.
just curious, but wouldnt you have been faster with the procharger on the stang? with the 4:10s and all the other stuff, seems like yer just catch up to where you would have been if you had installed that **** on old yeller.

It all really depends on how you use the power. Evo's and STi's are designed more for road racing and cornering, whereas muscle cars are designed for straight line acceleration and high topend speed.
STi's do have nice exhaust notes from that Boxer. For a 4-cyl car its probably my favorite note. Nice and deep, even stock. I'm just not a big fan of the body style of the newer STi's (and the Evo X for that matter). I think its a little too excessive in the design department.
And Fish...you would need AWD after your wonderful experience with corners in the Mustang...
What was it, two or three cracked bumpers, I just don't remember!
But with 400hp in the Mustang, you also have to take into consideration IRS in 99+ Cobras. Even though its not AWD, IRS does make corner hugging VERY possible in a high HP Cobra. It all really comes down to what you're looking for in a car...a road racer, or a drag queen.

some subarus have a porsche boxster engine
#27
No they don't. Porsche doesnt even own any portion of Subaru!
They use the same engine design (Boxer style), but not the same engine. Where are you getting your information?

they sound like a honda or toyota or w/e to me well a bit different but not really. now, the S/C Minis like yours do sound a bit more muffled or maybe deeper. The new Turbo Mini's sound the best IMO. I am around these cars all day long.
