Somebody Keyed My Car!
 

AHHHHHH!:evil: I went down to Mardi Gras in New Orleans over the past two days. I parked in the Mall Garage since it was the only place to park and the hotel was pretty closeby. So I left my car there from monday until wednesday. When i came back, someone had written "*uck you monkey" on the back of it. All over the trunklid and each rear fender has been scratched up DEEP. Racist crap. Im mixed black/white so I figured everyone down there would think I was creo. Obviously somebody saw me and my friend (black guy) get out of the car and they did it after we went down the elevator. They even stole my drivers side GT badge! :nunu: Im very pissed and they guy that did it could be over a thousand miles from here. WTF. If I had found him he would be dead right now. Im going today to get a quote on fixing it.

If you always hated the color of your car, then this is could be good thing. If not, then that blows chunks. Hopefully the place you go to won't rape you on labor costs to fix it.

Call the mall, see if they have surveillance tapes. Im not sure, but i think they can be held responsible for anything that happens in thier lot. they will probably be pretty happy to check the security tapes rather than give you a new paint job, you might find out who it is.

sucks man, sorry to hear that.. thats why reguardless of what I have to do I park as far away from other cars and in a spot I think will be safe.. but reguardless people shouldn't do such ignorant things..

When that jackass threw something at my car last summer, it took the police to draw guns before i backed off the other guy. i know exactly how you feel.

Ok so I went to the body shop today to get a quote on the damage. Its the same shop that fixed my front end when it was hit by some other bastard last year. The grand total is $1299. Im reporting a claim to the insurance company tomorrow. Ill have to pay $250 as deductable and ill be in a rental car for a week.

The place where I parked seemed to be a decent garage. There were no security guard that I saw or cameras either but I could have missed them easily. There was no other place to park cause this was in downtown New Orleans during Mardi Gras. I am 550 miles from the mall now cause I had to get back home for work/school. So I couldnt really take time to investigate plus I had to get my friend back too. Ill call the mall tomorrow but I wont get my hopes up. If I find the guy im gonna sue the pants off him and put all the money in my car to make it better.
