Ran with a FAST mustang.

I was chillin on my favorite twisty road. I pulled off to take a leak and have a smoke and what comes tear-assin down the road but an SN95 with a MM PHB peeking out the bottom. Place is normally deserted so I was pretty surprised to see another car so obviously heavily modded shreddin the hides right then. I had just lit my smoke so I went ahead and finished it (took my time), got my harness on, started the car, took a sip of my Sobe and took off after him. I intended on going fast... but I didnt' count on seeing that car again cuz he was definitely doing allright with the curves.

He was clearly haulin when he passed me and seeing my car didn't make him want to slow down. I caught up wtih him after a few miles (a huge surprise to me) and we proceeded to pour it on. We were really gettin kinda silly. He'd see my headlights clear a corner just behind him and try and go faster and I'd go faster... it was sick.

By the time we got to the really fast part I caught a car coming the opposite way and had to slow way down so he opened up the gap (he caught that car in a much better spot and flew past).

Had to be one of my faster runs. I think he was kinda surprised to see anybody keeping up wtih him. He was a pretty good driver and his car was definitely stronger than mine. Suspension didn't seem to be a problem so I'm betting he had a full maximum kit.

Anyway... it was sick fun and noone got hurt.

Ha ha ha....What are these turn things you speak of? I thought mustangs were only good in a straight line! ha ha...well, mine is anyway.

Nice run man, sounds like fun!

yeah... it was a crazy fast run but it was nice to find another car that could keep the pace up there. Most people get scared up there.

We actually got a big group together for a "spirited cruise" earlier this year, and thinking that I had a mustang I opted to be in the back of the group. Well, as we started I realized Fbodies couldnt turn, and ended up honking at them until they pulled over for me.

I got behind the 350z for a while with suspension mods, and once again... he pulled over to let me pass due to me riding his butt ;)

Pull up to the s2000 same thing ;)

I passed every car except 2... a nissan z32 which was driven by the leader of the pack... this guy is amazing.. he had a 16 second car and was FLYING through these turns, and a 300zx TT which was just staying ahead of me.

I got congratulated for being a good driver, which was pretty cool. We were doing good until the 300zx guy fishtailed through a turn... it scared me enough to stop for the rest of the way.

What road were you on r3dn3ck? Too bad the rains coming in now. No more cruising the twisties for awhile.

Calaveras Rd between Milpitas and Sunol.

I drive there every day just for fun...it's my commute route.

Fast is doing 40 around a 180deg turn that's only 25ft in diameter. Fast enough that the last time my buddy was with me for a run like that he had his feet on the dash and was screaming like a cheerleader.

Open Google Earth and go to:

37d 27h 40.26m x 121d 49h 57.60m and you'll see the road. That point is just about exactly in the middle.

Even though it isn't super twisty or anything, going through Niles Canyon is pretty cool. Except that people drive slow during the day.

you sure can run fast redneck...
