Default Question For An AM.com Rep About The SCT X-Cal2 (Or Others Who May Know The Answer)

Hey all,
I was curious about the SCT X-Cal 2. I know when ordering it, AM.com will provide one free tune based on the info you give about your Mustang, and will also provide extra tunes for a cost. I had two questions. First, can AM.com send the X-Cal 2 with no tune at all, including the one they give for free? Second, if the answer is yes to the first question, would there by chance, be a discount in price for it?

No biggie on the price. Figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

Would this be the same regardless of where the X-Cal was purchased? Basically, one of the shops I know of, was giving me a hard time about wanting them to install parts that I order from AM.com. They would rather order them themselves. But, the price difference was to great to let them do the ordering. So, I wanted to see about getting a "clean" X-Cal to bring in to them, so one, I wouldn't have to hear a bunch of crap from them about it already having a tune on it, and two, not have to worry about/deal with them trying to charge me extra for whatever reason they could come up with, for having a tune on it.

What are you trying to do anyhow get a dyno tune or just get a tune on it?Becuase you do know you can upload the tune to your car yourself its very easy.

But yes the tune that comes with the x-cal2 is a basic performance tune that SCT includes with the tuners setup for 99-04 mustangs.
