Is it just Me or is racing from a roll ghey?
 

Racing from a roll?? Am I out of touch or is this stupid?? Had some idiot wanting to race Me real bad today but He said He "only races from a roll"! I said why, are you scared that you might stall on the line? He said "no, it is a better way to judge which car is faster, it eliminates the driver from the equasion." I said "you must be a lousy driver then! I said I would race him any time from a standing start, but he refused and drove away. He had a brand new Nissan 350Z still had the dealer plates on it, I think he was scared to lose his first race.

He probably can't work the clutch properly.

Racing from a roll is for ricers... mainly because alot of their cars make the power up high, and it puts them closer to the peak power.

It does NOT eliminate the driver from the equation.. you can still floor it later than the other guy.

racing from roll is stupid, I hate it! The only reason they(ricers) do it is because they can't launch. Every time I go to the track. I see cars that should be half way fast in the 1/4, but all they do at the tree is side step the clutch at 8 grand, and spin their yoko's through the 60'

Why would you want to eliminate the driver from the equation? It's alot cooler to say "I am better than you" then to say "I've put more mods/money into my car than you."
