Well the other night I was coming home from flight school around 10:45 on Wedesnday. I was going down the road (doing the speed limit) and I see crown vic headlights in the distance and saw him turn on his left hand blinker. First thing that came to me is "oh ****." As I pass he pulled a u-turn and gets in the lane next to me. At this point the speed limit goes from 35 to 30, so I slow down to 30mph. Now he is almost right next to me and Im just idleing down the street. He starts backing off and pulling behind me, but stays in the lane next to mine. So I slow down a little more thinking I might be going too fast. Then a little ways down the road he pulls behind me (in my lane) and turns his lights on, so I pull into the parking lot. He asks me for my license and asks me if Ive been drinking and where Im coming from. I obviously havent been drinking and I said Im just on my way home from flight school. He says "you know you were going 10mph UNDER the speed limit back there." I say oh, well my speedo is off from when I installed these gauges, and I explained how I had to remove the needles and all that ****. He says you might want to get that fixed. Now heres the cool part. He starts asking me about my car. At first I thought he was trying to screw me, but then he told me something that made me think otherwise. He asks me what engine I have, whats done to my exhaust, and how I like the car. I didnt tell him exactly what was done to the car/exhaust. He hands me my license and tells me that his dad has an 03 cobra vert :headbang: The cop was pretty cool and nice about everything though.

 

Yeah..I've had a cop give me a thumbs up once @ a red light!

 

:laughing4 thats not good when you get pulled over for going to slow. If the weather is ok and there is no emegency vehicles on shoulder I always do the posted speed. Looks like he just wanted to talk to you.

 

I raced a cop once. He had a camaro. I won but i lost my dl for a while and had to go to trafic school.

 

Yeah, he said he pulled me over cause I was going so slow, he thought I might be drunk and trying to avoid him or something.

 

Late at night the drunk's are their biggest concern. Drunks are always way over or way under.. at least out here.

If i see one behind me i set my cruise at the limit, keeps me from getting stupid.

 

Yeah, I have yet to get any sort of police thumbs up, but hopefully I can manage to keep them off my tail lol

 

When I bought my GT in September the salesman told me to watch out because the local police just picked up two new GT's!! Our state police had some Mustangs too! Well I guess if you cant beat them join them!! :headbang:

 

LOL, shoulda thrown him a purge or somethin...he'd love that Im sure...lol. Glad he was cool, the only cop Ive had dealings with was when some old lady hit me and I swerved on to the center median. Well, She kept going, I got pulled, cause he thought I was drunk. But he was really cool about it. She didnt even know she had hit me.

 

Did you tell him about the nitrous or an O/R pipe... assuming you have one?
