Street Racing Sting In N.C. - 10 People Arressted 17 Cars Impounded.
 

Drivers who reached speeds of 165 mph on Interstate 485 were among those targeted by police this weekend in an ongoing crackdown against street racers in Mecklenburg County.

After four months of surveillance, authorities on Sunday arrested 10 people and seized 17 souped-up cars. They began investigating after receiving complaints of more than 100 people gathering Saturday nights at the Stonecrest at Piper Glen shopping center in south Charlotte.

Back about 3 or 4 yrs ago they did a sting at one of the street racing spots here in dallas. Probably about 100-200 cars would gather! About 20-30 cop cars showed up and maybe 5 or 6 firetrucks were used to close out any possible exits. Luckily I wasn't drivng the stang. I was just watching the races cruising in my big brothers jeep. Took a quick off-roading trip were cops couldn't get us and made a quick get-away. Tons of cars got stuck in the grass/mud trying to follow us trying to get away! I was awsome!:D

96-98 gt's and cobra's had the exact same spoiler.:confused:..

that shit sucks. Everynow and then cops mess with us but just give us trespassing tickets. I know here if you get caught twice racing they take away your car.

I know that the 94+95 cobra spoilers aren't as wide as the GTs
