Default Rear Bumper Removal

Have any of you taken your rear bumpers off before? I have to get mine fixed and repainted so I don't want to drop the whole car off for 3 days. How easy or hard is it to take off?

lol...

lay under neath the car (you may get dirty)

look around and see what bolts hold the bumper on (theres a few, may take a couple minutes)

take off the bolts

remove bumper...

there may be something holding it on by the tail lights... so you may need to pull those...

I never took it off... should only take 10 minutes or so

I sense sarcasm. I just don't have much time to crawl around under a car so I was just curious if it was a pain in the *** or something that I can do in my work parking lot or something that is more of a weekend job on a saturday or sunday afternoon. My front bumper was easy but not all parts are the same.

Thanks for the advice Greg.

Just take off the screws at the quarter wheel well, then start taking out the trunk interior panels at the tailights, remove dummy tire and you will see the brackets that hold the bumper in place. Pretty simple.

Rope/Chain, Tree (for an anchor) and the keys and I could have it off in less than 10 minutes.

There's a bolt below each taillight in the trunk behind the lining, one beside the trunk latch, two on each side behind the trunk lining, two screws on each side of the fender well, one push pin on each side behind the tire, and three push pins in the middle of the bumper under the car.
