Mustang Sub boxes
does anyone know if alot of places make mustang sub boxes that actually arent lies and fit in the trunk. dimensions would have to b length up to 30 inches( to fit between amps) height 11 inches or under, and width up to 30 inches which would b ridiculous but thats the max. it would be a sealed box for two subs that has between .7-1.0 cubic feet per enclosure

Mach 1000 Ftw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have one that fits in my trunk...its only an 8" sub though but it takes up hella room...its ok though...i can still fit my golf clubs in there
and my friend has a 10" in his stang and he has no room for anything...unless he moved the sub around |
my bro has two twelves that sit perfectly between the amps and take up alot of his trunk but o well.

Go buy a rear seat delete kit, cut a couple holes and mount in some sub drivers in the delete aiming forward. then build an enclosure on the back of the rear seat delete. Basically you turn the rear seat delete into the front baffle for a pair of subs.
if i diddnt have the mach 1000 i'd definatly do that. I bet it would free up trunk space and it would also look pretty killer having a 12 facing the back of each front seat. |
yea but then my cars a two seater and im in highschool and often have 2 pasengers sometimes a full car
|
I had 2 1000watt 12"s in mine...
and mine is a vert SO if you have a coupe then its easier cause you can fold down the rear seat... go to an car stereo store... tell em you need something compact... and just be sure that it has vents... uh... also buy a six pack... it took me an hour of trying different ways... but in the end I got it and It was well worth it |
I've got a custom box that fits perfectly flush against the back of the back seat as long as you don't have the Mach 460 sound system. It holds 2 10s. $100 shipped and it's yours.

There is 13 or 14" of clearance in your trunk and will fit if you go through your back seats. Just buy a box with those dimensions.
|
there is an 11inch clearance up against my rear seats. i would like as much room in my trunk as possible with subs............IF i even get them. not a necessity. itll only weigh me down
