I posted this in Smack but it is not working.
I told myself I was not going to come back here but after Greg joined my site I knew there had to be a topic posted by him over here so I came to look. Sure enough here it is. My site started in May. Sure there are not a lot of active members, but 90+ members joining in 4 months is fine in my book. I am not looking at some enormous site that gets bogged down with drama and bull**** like other sites. I would rather have a site with 5 active members posting than 100 pointless posts. Have any of you ever tried starting a website on your own that requires everyday attention and trying to do stuff to keep people interested in? If so, please let me hear your input on how well or how bad it did because it is hard as hell trying to keep something going like that. I don't do this for a living, I paid for the site, I built the site, so if it fails, I tried. I tried to do something most of you haven't and probably never will. If it does well, then great for me and great for the members on there. I work 2 full time jobs and go to college Monday through Friday for Business Management. I do as much with the site as I can in my spare time so should I care if it is as fantastic as MT? The Mustang of the Month contest is harder than I thought it would be. I set up polls and it is narrowed down and the first time I did it, I was the one with the most votes. Atleast I follow through with my contests on my site unlike some people on here. Hell I even followed through with the one contest I held on MT with the Badfish sig. Once again, why don't some of you try it before you bash someone else's site. Everything has to have a starting point and it has taken MT years to get where it is today...and you are bashing my 4 month old site? And for those saying that I got all pissy and crying on the internet. I didn't specify the details as to why I left. I simply said I was tired of the BS on the boards, meaning everything in a whole. Sure I am a dick sometimes but that is who I am. I am not here to try and impress people with my car or who I am. I was here to learn stuff about Mustangs, maybe help someone else out, and just have a good laugh during the day at work and try and get some other people to laugh. I tried to help the site out by doing sigs for people, and even tried T-shirts and window stickers but couldn't ever get approval for those so it fell through. I was not a crybaby that went running over and built my site. It was already there so I just decided I needed to devote more time to it. I don't care what people think about my car, I build it to my liking and in my opinion I have done something different that most of you guys on here. I am trying to do something while you For those of you who talk ****, I don't really care like you think. I don't know you and I will never meet you. I have better things to do than bicker with people on a forum. It was fun while it lasted. So now all you people that talk so much trash about me, my site, my car..you have the floor..which I am sure you will just say the same insults as always.. |

uh...long post.
 an active website is a lot of work, I know. I had a site for 2 years...not Mustang related. Its hard work. you sound hurt.  |

I dont know what you people are talking about, the boards have not changed over the past couple months, people come and go get over it, as far as im concerned this is still a great place to come to get mustang advice, see some cool pictures and videos and laugh eevry once in awhile

Honestly, I think you should go outside more and look for chicks or even chill on myspace more then try to impress kids with car stuff on the internet. I mean its cool all you did, but you expected too much from it, you expected everyone to be on your dick, and when you didn't get the attention you needed, you got all pissy about it and cryed, posted threads about you leaving hoping people would feel sorry for you and beg for you to stay, and then again no one really cared about you. Really dude, you need to go outside more and like meet chicks and stop craving attention from the internet. You were cool and all and I never had a problem with you, but now your just a little b!tch craving attention. Really once again, stop coming over here to try to brag about everything you did and try to get people on your dick, either stay, post, have fun, learn, give advice and not be a dick, or just go back to your oh so popular websites.

yep..i side w/ donnie...i joined his site cause he brought some excitement.. and the fact that i like to keep in touch w/ mustang people i am familiar w/...

Yeah... if you dont like having fun, and can not handle having somebody rip on you, then this probably isnt the place to go.
I stopped going to miles per hour and BMC mostly because a lot of the posts up there are just so bland and the same crap over and over. This place has a lot of pretty fun laid back people. there is plenty of knowledge to go around, but damn, why not have fun while yer at it? |
