Steve Irwin Dead
Damn! Just saw breaking news where Steve Irwin got killed today in a marine accident. Sad :shakeno:
SYDNEY, Australia (CNN) -- Steve Irwin, the Australian TV presenter known as the "Crocodile Hunter," has died after being stung in a marine accident off Australia's north coast. Australian media reports say Irwin was diving in waters off Port Douglas, north of Cairns, when the incident happened on Monday morning. Irwin was killed by a stingray barb that went through his chest, according to Cairns police sources. Irwin was filming an underwater documentary at the time. Ambulance officers confirmed they attended a reef fatality Monday morning off Port Douglas, according to Australian media. Irwin, 44, was director of the Australian Zoo in Queensland. He and his American-born wife Terri Irwin became popular figures on Australian and international television through Irwin's close handling of wildlife, most notably the capture of live crocodiles. |
Damn that sucks. :( RIP Crocodile man.
|
wow....I used to watch his shows all the time. That sucks.
REST IN PEACE STEVE |
how sad he was funny and i have a t-shirt with him on it.
|
Wow thats sucks..you had to eventually know something like this was going to happen though. He almost died once before of a snake bite
|
:shakeno: That really sucks. But boy did he go out with a bang, I mean, that's kind of cool (in a morbid sense), dieing b/c of a stingray barb going through your chest.....

wow that sucks. croc hunter was awesome!
|
You'd expect a Croc or Great White to eat him. Or maybe even death by a Black Mamba or some other deadly venomous snake. But a fkn stingray??? What a freak accident. This only proves how vulnerable we can be. RIP Steve.

Wow,that really suck's.He was some one that really loved what he was doing and enjoyed life.

Le Sad :shakeno:

Wow i just read more on how he died, the chances of you dying by a stingray are 1 in a million. Thats crazy though, I mean you think of these things but at the same time you know he knows what hes doing, Crazy stuff man, feel bad for his wife and two small children.
"Collin said he suspected Irwin died because the barb pierced under his ribcage and directly into his heart. "It was extraordinarily bad luck. It's not easy to get spined by a stingray and to be killed by one is very rare," Collin said. |
i just read that on cnn...and wow..thats just sad...im gonna miss his phrase "Crikey"...RIP The Croc Hunter

theres a link to the story and there is a video as well...it shows the or a stingray barb...I didnt know they were that freaking huge. |
Diddnt see this thread, i guess i reposted.
I am just suprised it was not a croc that killed him |
I was really shocked when I read the breaking news headline. There was still no information about what happened when I heard about it. I had to read it 3 times to believe it.
|
heard bought it on the radio... he had a coll acent
|
the way he died was just so ironic though, that was just some "the omen" type of sh!t. Chances of you dying of a sting ray is 1 in a million. And the only way you can die from a sting ray is if it jabs his barb at you, and somehow goes under your rib cage, and far enough into your heart. And apparently that happened to Steve.
|
I guess someone has to be that 1 person...
|
Hey, im sure hes happy going out the way he did.
RIP croc hunter :rip: :rip: :rip: |
