Welcome to 5 yrs ago. They have been trying to put out this thing forever now.

I think he is still a great musician but he is just trying to hard to be the same sound he was in the 80's. Hit style of music was something that was iconic of the 80's early 90's and I don't think it will fit in now. You will still have the hardcore G&R fans that will love it. Hell I will probably go buy it. I grew up on them. Aren't you a little young Greg to really know and appreciate their music when it was new and fresh back in the day? Hell that was when I was in middle school and I am 27..that would have made you like 5 or 6 when they were at the top of their game? I could be wrong but you are 6 yrs younger than me.

have you heard any of HIS new stuff... G&R isn't they anymore, its axel...

but have you heard any of it?

It sucks... Its nothing like what they used to write... sucks... nothing good about it...

And no... I highly doubt all the "hardcore" G&R fans will like it...

Without Slash (lead guitar), Izzy Stradlin (rhythm guitar), Duff McKagan (bass) and Steven Adler (drums)... the band is crap

slash is an ok guitarist
axl was an alright vocalist

but they complimented eachother

so slash without axl sucks, and vice versa...

In my eye's GNR still exists in a band called Velvet Revolver... the only member that's not GNR alumni is Scott Wyland and he's a much better singer than axel ever was.

I got to see one of the GNR/Metallica shows when I was in high school. What a killer show, and it was killer because GNR didn't play but for like 10 minutes before axel got all whiny and had to quit. Then he tried to come back a couple years ago at the VMA's and looked like a moving version of a Nick Nolte mugshot. Waste of human skin.

I heard some of the live stuff a while back that was pretty sucky. I saw him perform on the MTV music awards a few years ago but that was when Buckethead was still in the new group. He did Welcome to the Jungle which was pretty damn good.

Like I said I think he is trying to hard with his voice to sound the way he used to and it doesn't really match with the rest of the bands sound. I will have to go to a listen because it has been a few months since I heard anything.

And I didn't say "all" the hardcore fans will like it. I said you will still have the hardcore fans the like it if it sucks or not. Just faithful Axl fans. And if you have ever read or watched everything..Axl started GnR without all those guys. They became a success with that group. So he can do whatever he wants with the band name..he was the originator of it. He had a band called Hollywood Rose and then L.A. Guns..then came Guns-n-Roses which was a combo of both the names. The only one that was with him from the beginning really was Izzy. The others came along later.

Anyway...most 80's metal bands are always crap when they come back. Metallica turned to crap also. Bon Jovi turned to crap and always sings the same damn song everytime I see him on TV. Aerosmith had kind of hung in there though.

He was never civil from the beginning. He has been arrested 30 times..seriously. I think he used to beat up his ex wife(s) also.

YEP! I think my favorite solo by him was in November Rain. I loved the video when he got on top of the piano to play it.
